Peaceful, friendly - a great place to escape for a weekend. The grounds are lovely and great views of the Cleddau and countryside

Good: comfortable bed, shower/bath, lovely environment. Poor: no heated towel rail, lack of vegetarian options, produce grown on site not used in restaurant.

Arrived at the hotel and checked in. I then asked whether we needed to make a reservation for dinner that night, to be told then restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. As this hotel isn’t close by to any restaurants etc, it was rather inconvenient. I then asked whether there was a bar we could sit in to catch up on emails to which we were told the bar was also closed due to staffing issues. As we were being led to our rooms, we decided it wasn’t going to work as we essentially would be bound to our rooms with no food (unless we ordered a takeaway which we didn’t want to do!) We told the lady who was taking us to our room that we were going to look for something else and could we have a refund to which she rudely replied that we should have decided that before we paid (we weren’t made aware about the restaurants until after we had paid!!…) The location isn’t as pretty as the pictures and looks quite run down in person.

I called on the day to check there was a room with a bath available and the lovely receptionist said there was one left and put a note when booking, which I did. On arrival the receptionist was lovely and we got a room with a bath. The room was nice but there were a few things off making it great. For example, there were a few cracked floor tiles, scratched paint, the bed was too singles put together, the window was tiny, the room got very hot, and there wasn't a hairdryer. The evening before I mentioned I'm vegan when discussing breakfast but on arrival to breakfast the only options were toast I would have to order and say "no butter please", jam and a very small selection of fruit. Nothing was labelled for dietary requirements.

This place is fantastic. As soon as you start going down the drive you know that you are going somewhere special. The house is beautiful, the grounds are stunning with a derelict church and the original house awaiting restoration. With a wonderful welcome at reception and then shown to your room. The room I had was beautiful with great views and was spotless. A lovely shower and bathroom as well. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Special mention has to go to the two young waitresses whose manner and service was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious - a fantastic continental selection. Just be aware that continental is included, but cooked is extra. One of the best hotels I have stayed in in a while. If I'm ever back in the area I will be staying here.

Absolutely wasn’t 4 stars, more like 2 or 3. Room looked significantly different from the Expedia pics. Breakfast is was average. We checked out a day earlier (didn’t request a refund) and the staff didn’t even ask why we were leaving the hotel early.

The room was beautiful and clean however there is no aircon and it became extremely hot during the night. The fan supplied wouldn’t have been enough to cool the room and was making a loud clicking noise so we had to turn it off and open the patio doors. Unfortunately at 4.00am we were awoken by the really strong smell of the septic tank, which is directly outside the patio doors! There was no apology offered when my partner told reception about this, they are apparently aware? It sounds as if they have likely received more complaints based on that response, I understand they might lot be able to help the smell but at least apologise or offer some form of compensation as a gesture of goodwill. The breakfast isn’t included (only continental is free) - perhaps this could have been offered

Fabulous staff without exception. Room was lovely, modern and very private with lovely large bed. Ensuite was great too. The property as a whole though needs some serious tlc and attention to detail was barely there (eg, table dressing, menus, menu options, garnishes etc), which is a shame as the setting is lovely

This is our second stay at Slebech Park Estate as we like to stay here when exploring Pembrokeshire. The first time was during Covid so was difficult to make a fair assessment. The hotel and the grounds are immaculate and we enjoyed doing a morning run on the local trails. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Just an observation or a potential improvement, for a 5 star hotel I'd expect some room luxuries (ie. dressing gown) and better in room tea/coffee options (ie. Nespesso machine or something similar) I appreciate this is expensive but there's something about filling a kettle and making an instant coffee that just brings the quality down a notch (maybe because that's what I'd expect at my local Travelodge and it really was awful tasting instant coffee) However, it's not a complaint at all and maybe something they can look into in future to just add that touch of luxury to the rooms. The restaurant (The Peg) on site is lovely and fairly priced. In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the view. We look forward to coming back again.

The property is in a wonderful, peaceful location, with a single lane approach road of some length. Our rooms were clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and did their best to be helpful. The continental breakfast was generous and varied. All the ingredients used in the kitchen were fresh and good quality. The hotel could be exceptional, but needs a bit more organisation and staff training to reach that standard.

Having red previous reviews, I was a little concerned about my stay. But I’m not too sure where these previous reviewer stayed, but my day was amazing. The room was amazing, Wallroom, very spacious very modern very well decorated. In the courtyard on the ground floor so access to some outdoor seating.

The location was beautiful, the buildings and gardens were magical. A perfect get away location. A car is essential as it is remote.
