Gorgeous property along river, spacious, comfortable room, perfect stay before catching an early flight from Schipol.

Beautiful spot and nice view from restaurant but the room was just average

It is a 400 year old hotel but you’d never know it. It was beautiful, great location and great staff.

This property was a little bit too far south of the city for tourism purposes. But it had quite a bit of charm and a beautiful view of the water or canal in the southern part just south of the city border. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is humongous and gorgeous and has an outside seating area that could rival just about any fine dining restaurant. My only complaint was that the doors in the hallways are so close together and the property is a little bit old and so you could hear doors slamming constantly, even though I’m sure the guest we’re not trying to slam the doors. That said, I still slept relatively well and had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this property to others, especially if you are a little bit heavier of a sleeper than I am. The breakfast was fine, however, I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. That threw me off a little bit because I typically start my day with coffee. I would probably rate it 4.5 stars out of five total simply because of the couple things I’ve mentioned in my review. Overall, the property is beautiful. The staff is attentive and professional. The food was good. And I only had the breakfast buffet. And there was some advantage of being away from the city simply because of a quieter environment in the little village. Lovely old style hotel that we loved! Room overlooking the water was clean. Food excellent and staff couldn't be more helpful....they were all great ! Will definitely stay again.

A very comfortable and relaxing hotel in a beautiful location. The only suggestion is that the menu for the hotel restaurant is available in all languages.

Keep up the great location with beauty and great jobs

very good place to say if you want to experience quiet Dutch countryside and small town. Great to escape the hustle from Amsterdam and settle down in a quiet way.

PRICE AND VIEW

Not very convenient for airport overnight stay. Restaurant closes early and breakfast starts late at 8am. Bathroom had a strange smell like trapped humid air. Otherwise, room and service was good.

Great location in an authentic and colorful Dutch setting.

Nice location and pretty close to airport.Had to check out at 7am and couldn't get someone to unlock the dining room door so we could pay even though we could hear music playing and all lights were on.

The property is right on the River with beautiful views the breakfast is awesome homemade bread pastries scrambled eggs it's located about 2 minute walking distance to the bus to take to either Amsterdam or Rotterdam by train from the airport very very very Scenic

The Good: Quaint hotel; great service and cheerful/helpful staff; terrific location on the Amstel canal; very near basic shopping; comfortable bed; excellent blackout curtains; brand new bathroom; good wifi. The Less Good: minibar did not work (so they stored our food in their kitchen); kettle plug did not reach outlet from the table; frayed rug; a few ants in room (not an infestation); breakfast only starts at 8:00PM; weak lighting in room; only a bathtub, so if you are somewhat "handicapped", tough to get into the "shower" inside the bathtub. Overall bottom line: quite worthwhile, especially if you want a quiet, relaxing, peaceful few days in a very lovely small town.
