Hotel Bantu was a fabulous home base for our visit to Cartagena! The staff provided a friendly welcome, and I appreciated their ability to speak with me in English and assist with local recommendations. The property is beautiful and inviting (as well as safe!), including a lovely daily breakfast and a comfortable, air conditioned room. The location was fabulous, walkable to key locations and many restaurant options nearby. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Bantu.

The property was beautiful and tranquil. You would never you were in the middle of the historic center because it was so peaceful and quiet indoors. The staff were attentive, polite, and very pleasant. We loved Arnold and Jovani and the front desk! The decor and ambience of the hotel was exactly as we wanted and very authentic. Some opportunities were the daily breakfast: the options were very limited and the food is left out and unrefrigerated the entire time in very hot weather. I did not feel comfortable eating or drinking things that were warm. The spa experience was good, although it was more of a room with a curtain than a spa. My therapist, Gina, was lovely but there was nowhere to put my clothes. Also during the massage, you could still hear the music from the rooftop as well as some of the workers. It would have been nice if they were notified that clients were in session and should not be disturbed. Other than that, this was a perfect location and a beautiful experience! I will definitely return to Cartagena and Hotel Bantú!

Beautiful property with absolutely amazing and welcoming staff. The breakfast here was phenomenal, and the pool was a great escape from the heat. The hotel is located on a quieter street nearby everything that you would need - convenience stores, highly recommended dinner spots, and lots of rooftop bars. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy, excellent location in a quiet street in the heart of the walled historic city, staff extremely efficient and helpful to fill every small or large demand. Unique rooms are tastefully appointed and very comfortable. German is a star! Brunch is delicious.Pool is small

Hotel Bantú was BEAUTIFUL, a work of art every detail of the hotel and our room was so beautiful and added to our stay in Cartagena. We are so happy to have booked our hotel with them in the heart of the walled city. We were in a great location, close to a lot of great bars, restaurants and shops. The included breakfast was delicious, coffee and water available all day. They have a locked gate that requires you to be buzzed in. The staff were so incredible with us, they were helpful with places to go, booking excursions like a guided tour on a chiva and a boat to the private islands of Rosario. They also allowed us a late checkout due to availability, and kept our bags at the reception while we continued to explore and shop. We had the best time at Bantu, and will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, quiet, amazing food, amazing location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful

The hotel is located in a very quiet street, fine, dining, casual dining in a street food places are at a walkable distance. There are shopping options all around, It is also close to museums And five minute walk to Serrezuela mall. The property conditions are excellently maintained, water pressure is great on shower, room has a TV and Breakfast has many delicious options. The staff was very helpful.

I would give this property 10 out of 10 stars if I could. The staff was beyond helpful, friendly and eager for us to have an amazing experience in Cartagena. They were helpful with restaurant referrals as well as a day trip to the Rosario Islands. Breakfast in the courtyard garden was sublime. I would most definitely stay there again and I will refer this property.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very lowkey, but also primed with amenities. The whole ambiance of the place screams relax. Can’t wait to go back.

Encantador. Cerca de todo y a su vez alejado del ruido. Zona colonial antigua divina cerca de restaurantes buenos y no muy lejos de getsemani tampoco. (Se puede ir caminando). Varios espacios comunes amplios y hermosos, decorados con gusto y calidez, en un ambiente auténtico colombiano. Personal muy atento. Desayuno muy rico. Habitación suite amplia linda y cómoda. Recomiendo evitar las habitaciones que dan a la calle. Y atención en la elección del hotel con los espacios comunes en planta alta o baja. En el caso de Bantu cuenta con hermosos espacios comunes y pequeña pileta en planta baja y planta alta. Pero el calor en planta alta hace menos factible el disfrute de los espacios. Priorizar en la elección del hotel! Bantu es perfecto!
