The hotel is a hidden gem away from the hussle and bussel, yet the perfect location for exploring the area. It is absolutely beautiful in a traditionaly Spanish style. Every area is spotless, the beds are comfy and the views from the balcony where stunning. Lots of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the sunshine, including around the lovely pool and garden. Equally lots of areas to chill in even if the weather is not so good. Food quality and choice was amazing. Excellent value, but best of all was the very warm welcome from all the friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again soon. Thankyou!

We needed a quiet and calm week's holiday. The area was recommended to us and we found the hotel coincidentally. It was not peak season I gathered, which was a bonus as not many people around. I loved the terrace and reading room. if we go that area ever again, I will book the same hotel.

A really nice traditional hotel in the hills close to Frigiliana and above Nerja. Our room was large with a nice balcony with views down to the coast. The bathroom was also large. There's a nice pool at the hotel and the restaurant is very good with lovely home cooked food available in the evening (and nice views at sunset) and a good quality breakfast. The hotel is fully accessible with a ramp at the entrance and lift to all floors. Also a nice indoor pool and sauna at an additional fee. A good choice if you want to be away from the tourists at the coast.

We were looking for a place to relax, close enough to town but not in the touristy centre of Nerja. Almazara hotel fit the bill. Not having hired a car, we had no problems reaching Nerja and its beaches, thanks to regular bus services throughout the day. The room was clean and comfortable, with lovely views and the pool was nice. On the downside: the hotel is located on a main road so not completely quiet due to passing traffic and the staff is really not the friendliest you can find...they failed to apologise for not being able to provide a late check out (as advertised at the time of booking), they never smile and generally seem not to enjoy engaging with clients' requests. The cleaning staff is super smiley though! Food at the restaurant is disappointing compared to what stated in previous reviews. Overall a good hotel and good value for money.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel with lovely views. Situated between Nerja and Frigliana with a bus stop outside the hotel. Lovely food and wine at excellent prices. Most important to me was that they catered wonderfully for coeliacs. Immaculately clean with friendly, helpful staff. Would definately recommend if you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

Clean hotel but could do with some updating. Our room was large but had the smallest double bed. Bathroom ok but towels thin and rough. Pool area tired and uninviting near a busy road. Restaurant nice on a terrace overlooking countryside. Food good and waiter in evening helpful and friendly.

Rooms are very basic .. We had to ask for chairs in our room. Also had to request additional pillows. The ones provided initially were poor and the bed linen was awful and did not fit the mattress. The breakfast is very poor and is almost the same every day. Just fruit , cakes , yoghurt and cereals which seemed stale.

We wanted a short break away with no fuss and a nice relaxing time ,and were lucky to have been staying at this hotel .The food was just right for us and good ,we live in Spain and know what to exspect at the table the hotel had a nice swimming pool we used every day and the rooms were quiet with lovley views .the staff were good and friendly and we came away with a warm glow .I did think a fridge at no extra cost would be a good idea .my wife is diabetic and we had to pay a day charge to hire one just to put her insulin in ,and a non slip mat for the bath /shower please .Road connection were great to get about ,and hope to go back again next year.

We stopped one night on passing. Friendly and helpful reception. Dinner menu excellent, wide choice of three courses proved to be large at just 15.99€. Hotel in good position just off motorway. Downside steep uphill driveway to the hotel.

Disappointed to find out that our little dog was not allowed in any of the areas in the Hotel. I asked where we could eat as breakfast was included and was told that one could stay in the room and the other could come up for breakfast, not really what I had in mind for a break away..We were advised that we couldn't eat in the restaurant as dogs were not allowed. I asked them to provide a suitable place for us away from all the other guests their answered was we are not allowed, it is the law. I would like to know what that law is. You cannot charge for a dog and give us absolutely no facilities either to drink or eat. So in my view this is not a dog friendly hotel. Very dissatisfied
