We had a lovely time at our stay in Hotel Sole Splendid. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the balcony was lovely. We had sea view and I was just so in love with it. The breakfast buffet had everything you would love to have in the morning and the hotel even provided towels if you needed any for use on the public beach areas in the case you did not want to use the rental parts of the beach. Everything was seamless, I would definitely stay here again!

Check in was quick. The room that we were given was clean however the A/C was not powerful enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The mattress was very uncomfortable and I can feel the mattress springs when I laid down. You will not be able to use the built-in hair dryer in the bathroom as it is not strong enough to blow dry. I did ask if they had a better one and they were able to accommodate. Overall, the hotel is very outdated but in a nice location right in front of the water.

If you want a real Beach in amalfi, this town is it. The staff were extremely accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, just what you need. And we drove so having the ability to park there made this choice easy. Be aware that chairs and umbrellas on the beach across the street should be reserved and up to €45 per day. Apparently this is quite common and they made us aware of this before we arrived. They do have a limited amount of chairs reserved for the hotel, so you may want to ask for this as soon as possible. I would stay here again, :)

You are able to arrive by Ferry from Salerno. We got a train to Salerno and jumped on the ferry (3 blocks from train station). Hotel was the last hotel on the strip which we walked. Everyone at hotel was super nice. Beach right in front of the hotel. Many places to rent a beach chair with an umbrella but hotel is partnered with a location which you can buy at hotel or you can swim for free just right off the hotel but you will need to contend with the boulders (We found a spot). We had two rooms and each had an amazing view. Found plenty of small places to eat in town and in alleys. Each turn in the alleys was an adventure. Plenty of people around and perfectly safe.
