Ideal place to stay. Always stay there. Friendly staff. Lovely hotel

Staff friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy. Very nice breakfast. Just need to rethink the placement of handrails in accessible bathroom - nothing in the shower and the one next to the toilet made it difficult to reach the toilet paper!

Beware the golfers are noisy in the bar, there was a completion on when we arrived, they weren’t about in the evening. The restaurant was quite peaceful and the staff were lovely. Our evening meal was great and breakfast was good. We used this venue for an overnight stay prior to catching the ferry to Santander, it made for a very comfortable stay.

Professional friendly staff. Pool, steam room and sauna were beautiful. The grounds are amazing. I was unlucky with the guest in the neighbouring room who began loud conference calls at 9am meaning that I checked out early. Pity.

Really beautiful hotel.

This was our second stay at Elfordleigh, set in beautiful grounds andvery convenient for plymouth yet you feel you are in the country. Food is lovely and plenty of it . Staff at Elfordleigh were very friendly and accommodating even letting us use new showers in the golf block after we checked out so we were refreshed fot the theatre show. Pool and spa area was also very good.Really enjoyed are stay and we will definitely be back

Car parking was ok, right outside the hotel but limited spaces. Warm friendly welcome, despite a small issue with pre-payment not initially recognised. Hotel was quite busy with a wedding on but this didn’t seem to impact our stay, no loud music. It was VERY warm, thankfully a fan was provided in the room. Dinner was delicious, service times were reasonably quick and took notice of dietary requirements. We were presented with the wrong bill but this was quickly resolved. Food and drink prices were average for a hotel. Breakfast was a good self-service selection of hot and cold food including bacon, sausages, fried eggs, cereals, yoghurt, pastries etc and the obligatory toast-furnace! Only downside was that some guests outside our room (which overlooked the bar outside seating area) were quite loud early in the morning and this led to a disturbed sleep - if you’re booking here I’d recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel away from the bar.
