This place was very beautiful, I would recommend it to anyone, couples or family with kids.

Marie the Butler was fantastic! She was one of the only people who was genuinely approachable and helpful during the stay. Unfortunately, the food service was a huge letdown. None of the restaurants on the property had available reservations, which made dining frustrating. That’s a 0 out of 10 for me. Also, the people on the beach selling excursions were harassing and misleading. It made it hard to relax and enjoy the beach without being constantly approached or pressured.

The bathroom had an odor and the room had a smell, we used allot of air fresheners and it didn’t help the smell.

The check-in was frustrating.

No le recomiendo la propiedad a nadie , está sucia la propiedad, la playa no se puede usar pues está llena de sargazos y no la limpian , cucarachas en las habitaciones , la piscina con luces rotas , para colmo un día nos encontramos una tarde un vómito en la piscina y lo reportamos y no sacaron a nadie de la piscina (ellos ya lo habían visto y no hicieron nada ) , al día siguiente en la otra piscina tenía caca según ellos de niño ( ahí si comenzaron a sacarnos) el restaurante japonés tiene una peste que no pudimos comer en el y así como nosotros varias personas que tenían reservación se fueron por el mismo motivo , una noche las alarmas de fuego comenzaron a sonar a la 1 am y todo el mundo tubo que salir y era falsa alarma pero ya después de eso nadie podía dormir , allí no regresamos , llevamos varios años visitando PC a varios hoteles y esta experiencia fue terrible , en fin nos arruinaron las vacaciones familiares , por parte nuestra no deberían visitarla y pasar unos días malos

Luxury Esmeralda is a great place to stay. Facilities are excellent. Saludos a Ramon, Rubén, Albert, Albi y el Tocayo at the Amana Wet Pool Bar. You guys are the best! Also to Hector and the entertainment staff.

The property is large and family-friendly, and the Yuro (Hibachi) restaurant was the highlight — staff there made us feel truly welcome, especially Chef Castro and Chef Anyelo. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda was disappointing. Service was extremely slow at nearly every restaurant and bar. We were ignored at most à la carte restaurants, and staff did not speak English, which made things worse. We were often overlooked or not served at all. Rooms had no towels — not even small ones — and we were told to cut pool towels with scissors. My room had bugs, a strong odor, and the TV had no working remote or access to Netflix or Apple TV like previous room did which we changed due to AC not working. Both my sister and my room had stained sheets and a dirty tub. Our request for nearby rooms due to a medical emergency was honored but When her child felt faint, we were told to go to another resort or pay for help. Overall, this experience was stressful and disappointing

The property itself was very nice and large. I traveled with my family and two children. There was plenty to do for the younger crowds and entertainment was okay. Personally me and my family didn't feel welcomed when at this resort, we stayed for 6 days and did 4 nights a la carte restaurants, the service was horrible, we were ignored at all restaurants except for the buffet and at the restaurant Yuro. Throughout the whole time at the resort we were ignored and because we didn't speak or understand spanish they did not pay attention to our group. We were overlooked at restaurants and sometimes never served once we were seated. When arriving to the resort there were no wash cloths, only big towels, we were told someone would deliver towels at 12am and even told there were none to give out, I never received towels throughout my stay. I was given a large pool towel and scissors and was told to cut the towel! The tub was dirty with black marks inside and the white sheets had red stains, never even complained about that. My child felt faint at one point and I asked for a medical personnel to just take a look and was told i had to bring my sick child to another resort or if the medical personnel was to come to me the fee would be $400.00. I asked if I could bring food to my sick child in the room and was told no, I was told I would have to wait 45 minutes for the food to be brought to the room. This was the worst stay ever, complaining to the front desk they did nothing.

Do NOT be fooled by the 5-star label — this resort is far from it. Our stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda was one of the worst all-inclusive experiences we’ve ever had. The resort is small and not directly accessible by taxi — we were dropped off at Bahia Principe Fantasia and waited over 40 minutes for a golf cart to take us to Esmeralda. The only highlights were our butler Miguel, who was exceptional and went above and beyond, and the Friday night entertainment. Everything else was a huge disappointment. We booked thinking it was a newly renovated 5-star resort, but it felt outdated and poorly managed. The buffet served the same bland food daily for both lunch and dinner. The à la carte restaurants were hard to book, and the only great meal we had was at Limbo — located at a different resort in the same chain. Drinks were terrible — every cocktail tasted like straight sugar syrup. Service was consistently rude and unprofessional. We often had to wait nearly an entire meal just to get simple drinks, only to be ignored while servers prioritized familiar guests. The beach was filthy and full of seaweed, with no effort made to clean it — unlike neighboring resorts. To top it off, we were constantly bitten by mosquitoes. This is not a luxury resort. It’s a poorly run property hiding behind a name. We’ll never return — and neither should you.

Love this place. Been here twice and I never go back to any resort more than once ! It’s so cozy and convenient. Food is delicious. Pools are great drinks are amazing. Beach and pool are adjacent to eachother no need to walk far. The staff is friendly and just overall vibe is perfect. Kids have fun as well. They have water slides and little canoes for kids to ride in the pool. And nightly entertainment. I have no complaints. All restaurants are directly next to each other and if you want more options you’re able to take the trolley to the sister resorts and eat there. I highly recommend this place.

We are a couple who were in Bahia principal luxury Esmeralda in the first week of June. We really liked the resort. New beautiful room, delicious varied food in the restaurants, very friendly and attentive staff. The reason why we do not give the highest score is not quite correct information from the company that carried out the transfer from the resort to the airport. The fact is that according to the existing rules in Bahia, transport companies can only pick up guests from Fantasia or Turquesa, if you do not live there, then you need to go there. If you are not correctly informed, and you find yourself in the wrong place, then the transport company simply leaves without you. Which is what happened in our case. And one more small addition. Unfortunately, during our stay there was a lot of seaweed. It was impossible to go into the water. The resort tried very hard to improve the situation, cleaning machines worked even at night. We understand that this is nature and it is necessary to take this factor into account when planning a trip.

I recently had the pleasure of vacationing at this property, and the experience was truly exceptional. The staff provided outstanding service throughout our stay, always attentive and welcoming. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations, offering something enjoyable for everyone. The surrounding area was beautiful and ideal for a relaxing getaway, and the children's park was a wonderful addition that kept the little ones entertained. Every aspect of our stay reflected excellent care and attention to detail. We are already planning to return, as our experience was nothing short of amazing.

Easy access to the beach for swimming, walking and relaxation. And of course drinks and eats. There is also 2 big swimming pools and jacuzzi. Staffs are very friendly. The place is clean and safe. We enjoyed it and recommended to our friends and who already book this November. Yey!

Staff were amazing. Luis at guest experience was very helpful throughout the entire trip. He went above and beyond when it came to answering questions and providing resort information. Kalvin at the bar on the weekends was an amazing bartender. Very friendly and welcoming. Overall the staff was very friendly and will be the reason for me returning to this resort. Cleanliness of utensils at the restaurants should be better. The Italian, Dominican, and Mongolian a la carte were amazing. We did not enjoy the Brazilian as much and did not have a chance to try Indian. The seaweed on the beach was not pleasant at all. It was an eyesore and did not make the swimming in the beach enjoyable.
