What a wonderful place to stay when in Chania. We were here only two nights so that we could catch a bus to hike the Samaria Gorge, but the hotel is amazing. Very clean and conveniently located in Chania with an easy to access private parking lot (not often available in Chania). The staff were some of the nicest people we’ve encountered while traveling (and that’s saying a lot because Crete is full of friendly people). After a long and grueling hike of the gorge, we got back to our room around 8:30PM and luckily Halepa Hotel has room service (amazing club sandwich with potato chips and ice cream that was much need and all without having to try to leave the hotel again). Also, great buffet-style breakfast with plenty to choose from and very filling. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay here longer but if ever we are in Crete again, we will be staying here for our entire visit.

The breakfast was already laid out buffet style. Would be nice to have freshly cooked fried eggs but what we had was good. A vast array of breakfast to suit every need and not restricted to amounts. Clean large room. Friendly helpful staff. Because it was April visit no hot tub as the holiday season not yet in full swing. Lovely old harbour but an evening walk to harbour restaurants.

Clean and convenient hotel. Very nice breakfast selection. Sitting areas in lobby or outside comfortable and a great place to relax after a day of touring. The roof bar will be nice, once it opens.

Beautiful , historical hotel. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast which we enjoyed sat outside in the beautiful garden. Room was also beautiful , cleaned to high standard . 15 minutes walk via scenic coastal route to nearest beach and restaurants. Close to venetian harbour and old town chania

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Halepa Hotel. The moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel’s elegant neoclassical style, blending historical charm with modern comfort. The building itself is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly relaxing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional—always ready to assist with a smile. From the reception team to the breakfast service, everyone went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the rooftop terrace with the Jacuzzi was a highlight, offering a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring Chania. The location is ideal: the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but still close to the Old Town and the main attractions. Having secure parking was a big plus, especially since I rented a car directly through the hotel. The car rental service was excellent—fast, easy, and stress-free. The vehicle was in perfect condition, fully insured, and came with unlimited mileage and 24-hour roadside assistance. Everything was clearly explained, with no hidden costs, which gave me real peace of mind. Having the car allowed me to explore the stunning beaches and villages of Crete at my own pace. Overall, Halepa Hotel exceeded my expectations. The combination of a charming hotel, outstanding staff, and hassle-free car rental makes it the perfect choice for anyone visiting Chania. I would definitely stay here again and highly recom

Lovely stay. Hotel is in a beautiful old building and just a relaxed 15 -20 minute walk into the gorgeous old town. Delicious and plentiful buffet breakfast and clean and comfortable rooms. Nice roof garden with jacuzzi and a few sunbeds

It was an old charming place. A bit off the harbor. There is limited transportation. If you have a physical disability, it might be an issue.

Hot tub wasn’t in service-wouldn’t have booked here if I’d known that. It was the only reason I’d paid extra with so many more affordable hotels in the area. Sauna didn’t work- wouldn’t have booked here if I’d known that. Wasn’t given any information about massage treatments- I didn’t bother asking after finding out about the hot tub and sauna. Air conditioning in my room didn’t work- wouldn’t even turn on. It was fairly clean and quiet which is one positive and breakfast was ok. But considering the price compared to other hotels closer to town, I’d stay elsewhere next time.

The property was beautifuly maintained.A gorgeous traditional building. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast plentiful but the bread was tasteless . The hotel is somewhat outside of the old town so it's not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. A bus does run outside but it's a bit unreliable.
