Loved the pleasant staff, cleanliness, ambience of the hotel. It is in a great location! Breakfast is amazing. We can’t wait to return again. The location is great to the castle and town center, beautiful forested walks, cultural events, great food. Please stay with them. So relaxing.

Very friendly and accommodating staff from reception to restaurant and even the cleaning crew. Clean room and excellent overall cleanliness. The small size of the property and the excellent employees make you feel like you are staying with people you’ve known for a long time.

One of the most terrible experience ever. The check-in was ok. 1. Under our windows were 2 dogs that were barking all night. 2. The room is over used, with old furnishing and awful bathroom 3. The checkout was at 10.00. At 10.07 the staff was banging on our door. 4. Absolutelly no soundproofing. We heard how the door opened and toilets flush on another floor.

This hotel impresses by its location in a central yet green and laid-back location, with charming surroundings. The staff is very polite, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and stylish, beds are extremely clean and very comfortable. However it’s now time for some refurbishment to upgrade from a ca. 20-25 years old standard, especially when it comes to the bathroom. The strongest improvement potential lies at the breakfast buffet. It’s a horror. Despite an amazing terrace (we visited in summer), it is not utilized, instead guests are seated in a boring room with poor ventilation. Choice of food is lousy, with the contrast to the elegant interiors so becoming even starker. Empty platters despite lots of (overworked?) staff running around. The coffee machine is the slowest I ever used. We eventually picked up some croissants plus coffee and walked out with our breakfast to the tiny terrace. Parking is right in the front of the hotel, with easy access to the reception. It’s free of charge.

The place and the stuff is just amazing, specially the receptionist (Aniko) and the other receptionist also. They were so helpful and so friendly. The food was just amazing with a very professional serving. We loved it. The location, the surroundings everything. We will be visiting back for sure. ** the only this we didn't like that there is no normal Air conditioning system which is sorry to say a shame for a hotel with this capacity and quality. Also they switch it off by 22 h. Which is completely inconvenient in the hot days. Other than that its amazing.

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful area of Hungary. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were fine with opening windows, a heated towel rack, heated floor in the bathroom, and an adjustable radiator in the main room. My visit was during a February snowstorm, so I was able to enjoy the hotel's restaurant ((Nosztalgia Étterem) every night. It was very nice with good food and a cheerful staff that made me feel at home. If I come back to this area again, I will definitely stay here.

Our two night stay here was a birthday present for my wife and boy were we both underwhelmed. How it gets a 4.5 rating is beyond me. Maybe our expectations were too high. We expected a very nice resort but instead got a very average Hungarian hotel. The area of the hotel is beautiful. It is the closest hotel to the Zoo, just steps away in a green area with an excellent walking park. The hotel also has a nice garden but which could use more attention. The lawn has too many weeds and the bushes are not well taken care of. Breakfast is indeed excellent. Inside things get worse. The rooms are quite poor and small. Tiny old televisions and cheap beds. Our bed was actually two pushed together which I hate. The bathroom is tiny with the normal cheap Hungarian corner shower. Not the kind of shower I picture at an expensive spa resort. The worst part is actually the spa itself. It is a small swimming pool, a hot tub which is in reality the same temperature as the pool, a sauna and a steam room. Whoever the photographer was for the pictures shown on this site needs a raise as they make the hotel look fabulous, which in reality it is not.

Excellent food in a nicely appointed dining room surrounded by nature. Basement of hotel mimics a roman spa. English language is clearly their third language though very little difficulty being understood. Room on small side but we would definitely go back as it is well worth the price!

I stayed here for a week in February. The hotel is a little outside of the city centre but that suited me fine. The room I had was very spacious and even had a balcony overlooking the river and bridge. Staff are very friendly and helpful and all spoke excellent English. Breakfast was excellent and there is a choice of two restaurants on site for an evening meal: One serves traditional Hungarian cuisine, the other can only be described as a gastronomic experience! It's probably the best, most elaborate meal I've ever had in a restaurant and at a bargain price: 7 courses, wines, coffee and petit four for ~ £32!! I've never eaten at a Michelin starred restaurant but wonder how it could be any better than this? If you want something simpler, then there are a couple of choices about 5 to 10 mins walk down the riverbank: Restaurant Gisella is very nice and if you want a burger and a pint then the Fricska pub is great. The ONLY thing I'd improve is the bed: In common with every other one I've ever slept in in Hungary, it was hard!

The Hotel is really lovely and the staff tried their very best to be friendly even though English was not regularly spoken. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard. We were concerned that the hotel would be quite a way out of town but it turned out to be approx. 10 mins walk which was excellent. The only negative comment would be the local church bells going off at silly o'clock each morning but that wouldn't stop us staying there again.
