I booked this hotel because it’s owned by Trolltunga Active, the company I was hiking Trolltunga with, and I’m glad I did. My room was comfortable, the beds especially so, which matched the reviews I’d read beforehand. Everything was spotless and cutely decorated. The breakfast buffet was awesome, served in a bright, windowed, almost greenhouse-like restaurant overlooking a rushing mountain stream. It was raining the morning I ate, but it still felt like I was sitting outside, which was really cool. The restaurant was clearly popular, it was fully booked for dinner, so definitely make a reservation in advance. I wish I had! Parking was easy with plenty of space, and the location was perfect for getting to downtown Odda, the waterfront, and the Trolltunga trailhead quickly.

Positives: breakfast, clean room Not much else good to say here. Parking was limited and ended up across the street (which for Norway counts as close I have found out). Room was tiny and terrible bathroom. Staff was ambivalent at best. The price point was way too high for the hotel room especially given it’s not walkable to downtown Odda and also that Odda is not a scenic town but more of a stopover.

Easy check in. Upgraded to a river view room which was much appreciated.

Lovely stay with an amazing views. Shame the restaurant was closed on Saturdays. Lovely breakfast.

Excellent stay. Room was comfy and had nice views. Hotel was perfectly located for hiking excursions and the plentiful breakfast was a perfect way to start a day of hiking. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly delicious for dinner, and the bar had a great selection of local ciders.

Such a unique, quaint hotel. Beautiful views from window. Great staff. Wide range of local ciders to try. Wonderful breakfast spread. More than I was expecting.

The room was a bit small, but adequate. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-equipped. We really liked the location and view. A great breakfast was included.

Property was beautiful and wonderful location. Unfortunately the bed mattress was essentially broken and the bed had a really drastic sag such that you had to sleep towards center of mattress or you would roll off the bed. It was obvious and something the staff should easily see and address.

We did a trekking trip with trolltunga active and they host their pre trip Meeting at this hotel. So, we decided to stay here. Breakfast was limited but good enough. Our room had private bath and both room and bath were tiny even from European standards. Guy working at the breakfast was a bit grouchy and watched all guests to make sure they did not pack anything with them to take on the trek. Ladies working at the front desk/bar were pleasant and eager to help with advice on transportation etc. we had dinner also. Dinner was good with great views but a bit overpriced even for this area. Overall, good stay if you are doing a trip with trolltunga active.

Great place to stay if planning to do the Trolltunga hike. Check-in was straightforward. The wifi was slow and not accessible from the hotel room, but otherwise a comfortable stay.

I would rate the hotel as a good average, the breakfast was mediocre. We ate in the restaurant, which was enjoyable. It had the feel of a good quality hostel.

Nice view, good value

There are not many hotels in Odda and I believe Trolltunga hotel is a top choice for those challenging the 12 hour Trolltunga hike. The rooms are very clean but also very small. The double bed is very small for two people. It is located at a beautiful junction of a lake and river, nice place to take a walk.

The customer service was FABULOUS!!! Food and wine were delicious and the views were spectacular! The rooms were very basic but comfortable (per the hotel’s star rating). Definitely recommend😊
