We had a wonderful stay at Matthiol Boutique Hotel. The room was beautiful, and I highly recommend using the sauna—it was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was phenomenal, and we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which honestly was one of the best dining experiences we had in Zermatt. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. The hotel offers pick-up and drop-off service from the train station, which was very convenient and made arrival and departure seamless. The location is truly exceptional, with a beautiful trail right behind the property and breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. Highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Zermatt.

Perfect

Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus. We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. The self-guided spa was perfect for relaxing, and the massage we booked was absolutely worth it. On top of all that, the restaurant served some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We cannot wait to come back!

The hotel it self was very beautiful. We had a spa room and really enjoyed having the sauna and steam shower in the room. The morning breakfast included had a good selection. They also include use of the wellness area which has a jacuzzi, foot soak, sauna, rain shower etc. This was very lovely. The only issue is that it is a bit of a walk from the downtown core. It is still close to some of the lifts. Overall enjoyed our visit but I think it is a tad over priced when compared to some of the other luxury hotels we’ve stayed at.

Breakfast each morning was delicious. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were large with many amenities. The room lights were a little confusing and you had to be careful with the shower so as to not soak the whole bathroom. It’s a 25 minute walk to town but close to hiking trails. We did not take advantage of the spa, but it looked nice. The restaurant food was great. We attended a wedding at the hotel and the food was superb.

This was a great boutique hotel. It’s in the quieter area of Zermatt so you have to walk down to the main town area but that just adds to the charm! The views of the Matterhorn were amazing. The spa was lovely as well.

The staff were incredible! The service was truly above and beyond! Our room had a view of the Matterhorn, which was amazing, though I do wish we had been one floor higher for a bit more privacy. We loved having the sauna and steam shower right in our room, it made for a wonderfully relaxing stay. The location is a bit remote and made getting around a little challenging, but it ended up working out perfectly for us since it rained during our visit. We took full advantage of the spa and even got massages. The room service, restaurant, and included buffet breakfast were all exceptional!

Staff were extremely kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to ensure you have what you need. Room was spotless and amazing. Would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was amazing! beautiful room, great views, easy hotel shuttle to and from the train station, breakfast included, accessible to the highlights we wanted to see. If it is not cloudy, the photos on the hotel's website of the matterhorn are real! The spa was a nice touch. We probably spent more time there than hiking in the mountains. Onsite restaurant and bar are a little expensive... but so is everywhere else in Zermatt. The hotel is off of the RED city bus line. Google Maps didn't show the line for good transportation information. Be forewarned.

The whole staff from Debra, Jo, Lorraine, Danieli, and the owner himself were super kind. Made us feel like we were friends and not just guests. Cant recommend enough. Just good people.

Stunning Boutique Hotel- Deborah and the rest of the staff were warm, super helpful, and very attentive to every need. 20/10 - this is a jewel in Zermatt with stunning views of the Matterhorn. Our room was outfitted with a sauna, modern furnishings and a bath tub looking out to nature’s gifts! The restaurant and the in house dining was also delectable! Chefs kiss!!! I want to keep it a secret but also have to let you know its top tier! We wil definitely be back!

This hotel is magnificent. The views are great. The decoration is very nice. All the staff is extremely friendly. I recommend this place very much. Zermat is beautiful and this property is wonderful.

This property is the nicest I've ever stayed in, but is very far from the city center. It is also further from the ski lifts than advertised by quite a bit.

It was a wonderful stay. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were helpful, friendly and always with a smile. They made the stay that much more special and the reason for the 5 stars. The only issue was this noise in the pipes in the room. I assume when someone else flushed a toilet.
