A tale of two types One staff/owner was wonderful and very helpful with everything even sending us through to the restaurant before they were open. We didn't realize it but the woman who waited on us did and took out her irritation on us. The most unpleasant evening of our trip she was just rude. At breakfast the woman who waited on us was kind and cheerful and efficient. Two out of three but that rude one ruined the whole experience and place.

Room is very small and old . Hot water running unstable in bathroom, its door is clearly to see guy using toilet and showing. air conditioned works uncomfortably. Although I booked 2 nights , I gave up 2nd night staying and lost money of 1 night lodging . Owner did not agree to refund city tax of 2nd night to me. The guy at front desk was not friendly.

Great location for the Christmas markets, just 2 blocks to get there. Hotel was lovely, room was great and staff were helpful and spoke beautiful English. The hotel restaurant has wonderful food. Totally enjoyed our stay

Overall fantastic hotel, spacious and clean rooms with pretty views of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. However it should be made clearer that the spa/sauna/pool are not included in the hotel price, and that a supplement is required of 20€ per hour of use of the spa. But it is still a good hotel and I would return there as the location is good.

Room was small, The hot tub and pool were pay to use. 20€ an hour - not indicated on Expedia when we payed. Location was great and staff was friendly.

Nice staff and excellent service

Our room at Au Cerf D'Or was beautiful and comfortable; quiet but easily walkable to the old town and local restaurants.

Good location, paid parking garage fairly close by. Good restaurant, AC in the room was nice- not a lot of hotels in the area have it.

Very nice stay! We had dinner at the restaurant - delicious! Unfortunately, we had declined the breakfast and it looked phenomenal!

A little old which is to be expected in this area. Room was extremely smal, hard to manage luggage and moving about in it. Bathroom too was very small. Internet worked fine and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was ordinary, with the usual pastries and cereal.

Close to cathedral

Great location but very antiquated furnishings. Expedia says the pool, jacuzzi & sauna are 'perks' but reception told me its 20 euros & reservation needed. Also closed on Sunday when I arrived. But not mentioned on Expedia. I refused offer of 10 euro hustle & then offered free so i took it. Not 1 person there! Also have to exit hotel & walk down street to spa & back in 1 degres weather lol.. hopefully reception will update their information on Expedia for .future guests

Hotel is very charming and fantastic location. The room was extremely warm and the AC/hearing unit was difficult to use. Shower wasn’t great and the hairdryer cut out every 20 seconds and wouldn’t start again for another 5 mins. However none of this was a big deal and I would definitely recommend and stay again!

Overall great stay and beautiful room. No issues at all getting around and the staff is super friendly. Would recommend to everyone coming to visit

Great neighborhood, easy access by tram from train station, lively neighborhood with easy walk to everything, safe, quiet

The hotel is very well located. Street parking is available but limited and accessible via several parking apps. 24hrs public car park about 200m away, 21€ for 24hrs. Can't comment on the food, as we ate out, but I'd imagine it's good. Room not overly spacious but all essential equipment and very comfy bed. Shower head kept sliding down the pole, which was irksome, but not a massive issue... Staff polite and friendly and helpful. If I'm back in Strasbourg, I wouldn't bother to find another hotel, and I'll eat in one evening next time
