Wonderful and unique small hotel, a real gem. First rate meal in the hotel dinning room. Excellent service will certainly return.

Our room was nice but we stayed in England, France and Norway during our one month trip, and this hotel was the only disappointing stay. The facility itself was fine. It was the person that we checked in with, that made it a negative experience. Without any greeting, she asked if we wanted breakfast or dinner reservations. When we said that we'd like to think about it, she said, "Follow me", and walked us up the stairs to our room without even a smile. We did decide to eat dinner. The dinner was amazing! I highly recommend eating here EXCEPT the same person that "greeted" us on check-in was our server with a second person. She brought over a chalkboard with the items, and said, "This is our menu, you will have to read it in french." We did ask a few questions in our terrible french and native english, and she answered a few of the questions. We did not expect her to translate our menu. We were in France. She was just so rude about it! From then on a male waiter took over. He was very friendly and professional. The part that made us very mad, was when an Australian single male, sat down to eat, she read the entire menu to him in english. What had we done to offend her so? The following day, we were touring castles all day. We didn't get back until 9:00. This town shuts down at that time. There were no restaurants still serving. Be sure to eat before you come back to the hotel if it's late.

Good restaurant but not cheap. Room spacious and pleasant but with very cheap furniture. Few facilities in the room. It may be Relais de Silence but there was very little that was silent about the location. Not sure what constitutes membership of this group / association. A restaurant with rooms and no more. Had to leave ASAP on day of departure as they were expecting other guests who wanted to access the room by 11.30am. You're done. Next...

Lovely hotel in the town of Luynes which fronts the Main Street and relies on on street parking or a couple of more remote car parks Lovely comfortable clean room with lovely en suite Second floor accessed from outside up very steep side alley which could be a problem for some Very restricted booking in times so be aware of this when planning your journey Restaurant on ground floor is lovely with excellent food and top notch service- delicious meal not cheap but very good with amuse bouche between courses and very attentive waiter All in all we really enjoyed our short stay here

This was a beautiful relaxing place to stay. A lovely, affordable boutique hotel. The bedroom was air conditioned, clean & the bed was very comfortable. They supplied lovely shower gel, soap & shampoo. The best bathroom we had on our, August 2016, France road trip. The restaurant is not to be missed, the food is excellent. We enjoyed a walk around the small village after our meal. it truly was a lovely place to say. The only down side is, the steep short path, steps to the accommodation entry.

Excellent room (especially the large comfortable bed) and restaurant. Parking in a small square across the road was OK, but I am registered disabled so could use the only free (disabled) space when I arrived, but parking might be a problem during busy times and high season. My wife and I will not hesitate to return when we next use Cherbourg as our port of entry/exit, as the hotel and staff were very accommodating.

Fantastic, beautiful room in a lovely village hotel. Exactly what we wanted on our 50th Birthday French road trip. Liked it so much we're looking to come back next year. What more can I say.

The location and design is really nice. I would definitely recommend to friends. The downside is that the room we had was really small. We barely had room with the luggage. The restaurant was fantastic and had great food!

The village is lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel is awkwardly configured due to it being an old building. The food was well presented and very appetisting. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again

This was a great stay in a 17th century building with beautifully rebuilt modern but very quaint rooms/decor. Excellent new rooms in an old world setting.

The room is great, with a mezzanine for the children. The windows could though have real curtain (not blinds) to keep the street sound away; This relais du silence is conveniently located across the main city square where the local young crowd meets and goes around on their motorcycles :). Not so silent afterall. This hotel is located against a steep hill, you have to go up the hill a little to get to your room, no issue for me but could be for not so agile people.

The kids loved this place. We entered through the roof! The rooms were clean but crowded. They loved the lofts. Everything was clean and modern. The hotel is in a very, very small village, which is charming but different. I only saw the staff upon check in and check out as you do not enter through the front.

The town is short on dining options so better reserve a table at the XII ahead of time...
