If you are looking for a room on a budget then this is what it is. I had room number 1. It doesn't have a sea view and there is a "private" toilet and shower room shared by rooms 1,2 & 3. The problem with this is you never know if it is occupied. You do get a basin in your room, a TV, a kettle, as much tea and coffee as you want, two small wardrobes and a double bed. The mattress is ok but it's not home from home.
Check in and out is done by a key lock box at the rear of the hotel and the code to this box is sent in a text to you. There is no receptionist to welcome you and give you the key.
There is a bar but again this wasn't manned whilst I was there so I can't comment on the drinks situation. There is no food either but if you bring your own then there is a common room to eat it with free tea and coffee if you wish.
Parking is not easy. There is a carpark at the rear of the hotel but if anything big parks next to you, you will have trouble getting back out. The parking lines could have put at a better angle to help with this.
As I was on my own and it was just for one night to visit the open air theatre it did a job. It is a few minutes walk away and very easy to get to and from the venue. If I was going to stay any longer than that in Scarborough then I would probably look for something with an ensuite bathroom maybe on the South bay side of town.
