Good value for money hotel

The lovely lady that checked us in was very helpful and welcoming. A continental breakfast was offered to us. The hotel and our room was very clean. It was an older hotel, but well cared for. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, central and friendly service . Excellent value

The two things that would make us hesitate to stay here again are the traffic and squeaky floor noises. The blinds shut out some, but not all, traffic noise. The road is the sea front major route through Chetbourg . When you walk across the floor it really .squeeks and comes from your and others rooms. Bad news if others go to bed or get up earlier than you, and if anyone gets up in the night for the loo. Shame because the room size and breakfast was amazing but I need a good and full night's sleep.

This Hotel is not manned during the night and they don't open until 16.00 hrs. Bathrooms are very small. There are just 5 + 1 parking spaces opposite the Hotel and we were lucky enough to bag one. Receptionist was very pleasant and spoke good English. There is no English TV which is unusual for Cherbourg.

Excellent reception , great family room. Great location for Cherbourg central/port and the Cite del la mer museum.

very near to a variety of restaurants and local shopping - easy to walk to Le Redoutable - La Cité de la Mer - well worth the visit. Hotel stay was great, nice host, clean, safe, would stay again.

We had a perfectly fine standard room in this old hotel which has been rehabbed to modern standards. The shower was small but otherwise the room was very clean and perfectly comfortable. The staff gives you a door cod for after or between hours when there is no one at the desk.

A comfortable stay reasonably priced, downside was a very small shower and the receptionist was a bit pushy looking for a tip, he immediately explained that he'd upgraded us (which he hadn't as I'd booked a sea view online for an extra couple of euros) and heavily hinted at a tip two or three times, he also showed us to our room we we didn't ask for and said we were OK to find it and then hung around in the room waiting for a tip. My tip to him would be "don't be pushy"

STAYED AT HOTEL FRIDAY NIGHT TO EXTEND HOLIDAY AND COULDNT FAULT IT. THE OWNER WAS A LOVELY CHAP VERY INFORMATIVE AND HOTEL WELL SITUATED CLOSE TO CENTRE . OVERALL IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN, A FREINDLY CHEAP HOTEL BUT COMFORTABLE ENOUGH AND WOULD GO THERE AGAIN

Quirky, clean, though slightly dated feel to the hotel. It's in a brilliantly central location and the staff are very friendly. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay only as we would look for a bit more comfort in the room for a longer stay.
