The hotel is located on one of the streets off of Puerta del Sol. A little hard to find as the signage is small and not very visible. Check in is at the 2nd floor. This should be noted on the hotel address description. While the hotel room has been beautifully updated with marble floors, etc. It is small but comfortable enough for 2 people. But the most glaring thing of all is that the beds are rather tired and showing a little wear albeit comfy enough. The small refrigerator is handy for people traveling with medicines that require it. Amenities are lacking compared to the other hotels we've stayed at on this category for this trip. They did however gave us a complimentary breakfast which was a nice surprise. Overall I don't really know that the few steps closer to Puerta del Sol made a difference for us (it was approx. $55 plus more). I don't think this cost justifies what you get in the overall scheme.

Good location, clean and newly remodeled rooms. However, biggest issue is with the wifi. We should have paid more attention to the prior reviews before booking. The wifi barely works here, as most have mentioned. That is pretty important for us but may nit be for others.

Check in was painful with no response from the support. Front desk was actively chatting with another personnel during the check in

Small suits no enough power outlets to charge phones and the breakfast was really bad

Not the biggest bedrooms, but clean. Prime location. Walking distance to everything like metro, restaurants, and shopping. Finding the entrance was a little confusing. It says hostel but it's clean and modern. Consistent hot water, ac, and an elevator are a gem in Europe. Would stay again.

Property is stated as a hostal when you search it up but don’t worry it is extremely clean and right in the center on main attractions I highly recommend

location was superb, the hotel/hostal was ok, no lobby, just a reception desk on a second floor accessing via stairs or a tiny elevator that fills up with three ppl or two with luggage, rooms are just ok, full of wall cracks, no air extractor in bathrooms so smells and moisture stays there , no room service, good thing includes bfast on a near by restaurant, pretty decent

Front desk was excellent. Answered all our questions and gave us tips about locations to go, dining, security, etc. So nice and helpful! Room was small but we didn't spend too much time in it, basically to sleep. Close to trains, metros, buses. Right in the middle of downtown so everything was close. Awesome location!

This hotel offers very basic rooms for a not-cheap price. On the upside, it is in the historic downtown area and therefore very convenient, and the staff were very helpful. I was put off by the high ceilings in the rooms and hallway, making noise an issue. Also, it is laid out in one very long and twisting corridor (because, it was explained, it is an historic building and can't be altered) with no fire exits or visible smoke detectors. It is on the second floor (equivalent to the third floor in the USA) in what appears to be an office building.
