Outstand service - GM Brian especially attentive. Great, new restaurant, Bardot, on site. A must try. 1st time - will definitely book again next time in San Juan.

Beautiful and clean

Very disappointed If this was a $200 (not $500) a night room it would have been fine. Hotel does not look like much from the front, small sign and very dark entrance at night. It is in a good location between the lagoon and ocean. We travel often in all types of properties and locations. The room looks (I think renovated) but has the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. Then the layout of the room is terrible: The shower takes up a big portion of the room so we had leave one suite case on balcony. Bathroom sink is oversized which leaves no room for anything else(see pic) Glass doors on shelving units block hallway when open (see pic). Toilet door blocks sink when open (see pic). Toilet door blocks shower door when open (see pic) Bed foot board extends outward making it hard to pass (see pic) the corners. Other issues: Bed is very firm and the pillows are hard as rock. No tissues in room. Only 2 bath towels in room. Toilet takes 3 plus (hold down for 10 seconds) flushes to clean it. Safe is over complicated with no directions and didn’t work after getting assistance. Had an outdoor shower and sort of tube (see pic very weird) but curtains on balcony didn’t close all the way so offered no privacy and if you want to slide them open them you can not. Street can be noisy, especially in day time. Clicking noise echoing in hallway all night long. Stairs to room have no illumination. Careful where u step there are strange trip hazards all around.

We have stayed at Olive many times because we have always enjoyed the accommodations, the ambiance, the service and the location.

Absolutely incredible! The entire staff was friendly, hospitable, and enjoyable to interact with. The room was a dream. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice little cost boutique hotel, very clean, nice newly renovated looks really good. Nice with good complementary nespresso coffee and tee all day including fruits and snacks. Unfortunately the rooftop terrasse was undergoing renovation, would have been really nice to be able to sit outside. Sister hotel next door restaurant and rooftop available, which was very nice.

Lovely looking hotel in terms of visual design. However, rooms were designed for looks and not comfort. The room had no window. The bath had a glass wall which meant that if you turned the light on when going to the bathroom in the night you woke up your partner. There was this silly interior balcony area with steps and small sitting chairs--pretty useless except to spread out luggage. The bed was too high and too hard. Great to look at but not to stay or sleep.

I think the property did not meet our expectations or what they offer on the web site. First there was no restaurant on site, we had lunch at their sister property around the corner, but the service at the restaurant was poor. since check in on friday we had limited internet, which resulted in no tv or phone service. The room was small with no desk or any space for luggage. the last day we tried again to enjoy breakfast at the pool on the sister property, but we had to wait for over 45 min to be helped after several request and the food came 2 hours later with things we did not order, so we had to leave. Overall it was very disappointing for a hotel with the SLH certification and it is definitely not worth the amount of money we paid.

They charged me twice. I needed help with an accessible room that wasn’t available. Whole experience was terrible.

It was fabulous having no children about, but I guess the time of year…. There was limited onsite option… the rooftop bar never opened. We were instructed to go to the sister property a few doors down, but each night was a private event and given no access. The properties were beautiful and well appointed. We booked the room with a soaking tub on the verandah which was charming, but the location of the room was right at the employee stair well and trash chute… very noisy and only covered up by drapes… I’d paint those windows to not see into that dank stairwell. Staff were overall friendly but they did overcharge and hold a $500 deposit for the room for over a month, I had to call several times before it was resolved. Trip was in June, refund processed in August… I would absolutely visit the area again, but a larger property. For the entirety of our trip the one elevator did not work, my partner was recently off a knee surgery and got some serious PT in each day… having to walk the stairs. We couldn’t cancel and move because it was booked through Expedia. Sigh.
