Unfortunately very negative experience. I recommend NOT to book as the owner shows no fairness whatsoever. To explain: We accidentally booked the room for a year later, and when we stood in front of the B&B and had not received the information of how to enter, were informed by the owner that we had accidentally booked for April 2026. They pretended to be helpful "Sorry that we cannot help, because we are full", but then when I asked for a free cancellation (assuming that a year is enough time to re-rent the room), we got no reply anymore, despite many phone calls and emails (direct and via Booking). Booking would have allowed to cancel free of charge but the owner was playing hardball and showed no courtesy. Up to you whether you want to book a B&B from somebody who shows no helpfulness or goodwill. I would not book from such a person. Other B&Bs that we visited on our trip where entirely helpful and friendly and would have most certainly accommodated our request, which was admittedly our negligence, but still... The owner of Nonna Nina was just rude. They did not even bother to answer our emails. So ANTI-RECOMMENDATION from our side.

Unfortunately rather grim place to be in. Bad neighbourhood, rubbish everywhere, barking dogs, joiner's workshop, fish store and on top of that (probably deprived) youths riding scooters middle of the night. Long walk to the beach or city centre. Shower not cleaned in ages. Breakfast was the cheapest sliced salami, cheese, and croissants that were tasty. I saw disappointed on Spanish family's faces when they turned up for breakfast in the morning. Would not recommend.

Would not recommend to stay there. The air condition smells like a four week old towel. When I mentioned this problem to the staff, the coworker of the host made fun of me in Italian, thinking I don't understand their language. The refrigerator is disgusting, furniture is old and very used. On the other side of the street there a a couple of dogs barking all day long (at times even in the night). When we arrived, the room was not clean (some kind of cream on our towels etc.). This was the worst accomodation we had on our trip through Sicily.

I am travelling alone, And found this place because it was one of the cheapeast in Avola still available, I was feeling so fancy because I travel with my back pack and always take the cheapest place to sleep. In general Its around 23€ for a shared dormitory till 30€ for a room without breakfast. Here I spent 34€ for a very Nice room, a big double bed, a personal bathroom , a nice breakfast with a Nice view. Everything is Clean and even have my proper balcony ! Nice staff, le réceptionniste était très gentil et parlait français ! :)

After traveling with a small child, tired, I accidentally booked the right dates but the wrong month, I realized this at 9 pm when I wanted to check in. They answered me until we figured this out, when I asked for Wi-Fi to look for new housing at 9 pm - I was ignored. 0 humanity
