I had put in a request NOT to be put on the floor level, due to personal reasons. However I was put on the first floor which I figured they just must have been low on vacancy so I let it go.
Got to my room, it was clean and excellent. So then I left to go out for dinner and whatnot.
Returned to my room at near 2am and there were bugs all over the ceiling and walls.
I slept in my car that night.
Returned to let the front desk know that I wanted to cancel my reservation as I was due to stay there for a few more days but my reservation was non-refundable so I had no choice but to take their offer to switch rooms.
So then I was put on the second floor, thankfully there were no further issues with that room.
I never got a compensation or an apology for my uncomfortable, sleepless first night.
