After a long day I need a good and comfortable bed and I got just that. The wi-fi was fantastic! Rhinos are mingling around in the buildings.

Quick and informative check in telling us about local attractions. Rooms are clean, quiet and safe. Local restaurants are great as too the breakfast at the lodge. We would definitely stay here again!

Marlin Lodge is clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our family unit had two bedrooms. The rooms are fairly basic but well-equipped and functional. Breakfast by the pool was excellent. The owners made us feel at home and took care of all our needs. It's a great base to explore Cape Vidal and the wetlands park with lots of hippos and crocs. It's walking distance into the main town area with lots of restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very nice quiet place with great swimming pool. Friendly welcoming owners. Waitress at breakfast with a smile, except for the headwaitress who was extremely unfriendly (each time we asked her a little thing, like some eggs or mushrooms or whatever at breakfast; she made her understand that she was unhappy to do it with her attitude and huffing and puffing - i would get rid of her quickly as she is not making guest feel welcome at all).

The only thing was good for the place was their staff 3 ladies and breakfast was wonderful . No Tv to kill time when you inside can't even watch the morning news in bed😡. Have to check out 1 day earlier, because we can't handle the noise from our next door neighbors when they using the bathroom. Their bathroom light can come through our bedroom from the bottom of their pathway door..

Stayed here for 2 nights in June with a friend who was doing research at iSimangaliso and other parks in the area. Very comfortable and pleasant place. Johan and the others working at the Marlin were extremely pleasant and helpful. The place was fairly empty when we were there, but was about to fill up the following week once the school holidays began. The rooms varied in layout, but both were comfortable and large enough. The breakfast was excellent, with the usual English breakfast options supplemented with a very nice cheese selection, excellent coffee (individual brewed cups -- not instant coffee for a change), and fruit salad. Rooms have small fridges as well as electric water kettles, as is common in South Africa. There's currently a water shortage in St Lucia and the entire area, but they have their own borehole. Still, you should limit water usage, and probably not drink the tap water (they give you drinking water, and of course you can buy bottled water in town). The lodge is located in a mostly residential quiet area, but not far from the main shopping and restaurant street in St Lucia, which is a very relaxed coastal town. Don't miss spending time in iSimangaliso, which is a unique park and landscape, combining beautiful coastal beaches, grassy dunes and patches of coastal forest and hills, gradually shading into more moist savanna regions on the park's west side. A good selection of animals and birds in addition to the fascinating landscape.

Marlin Lodge is a great little hotel. It's located in the home of the owners right in the middle of St. Lucia. The owners are a friendly couple that put out a nice breakfast and are always available to chat or help you book some of the attractions. You are five minutes from the beaches, five minutes from the parks, and five minutes from the restaurants. The room was very comfortable. All that was lacking was a television and the bathroom is outside the room (no one else was staying in the next room or we might have had to share). Otherwise, a perfect experience.

Marlin Lodge is a very nice small hotel in beautiful St.Lucia. The location is good, its close to restaurants and other places of interest in St Lucia. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast had everything that you can wish. We got a lot of information about St Lucia when we arrived which was very good for us. The stay was in total very good! The only minus was that we could feel a bit of "old time rasicm" when one of the hosts started to talk about locals and black people in a negative way. We are a mixed family, with white and black colours and we do never accept when people talk about colour connected to "personal characteristics".
