Only downside no table and chairs in the room. Table and chairs outside on balcony which is lovely for beautiful weather, not so good if cold and rainy

The apartment was very spacious. Only downside was need to go up the stairs once open the apartment door.

Apartment was centrally located situated amongst many wining and dining establishments. The small gym was surprisingly well equipped. Our room facing onto Darby St with an enclosed balcony was very dark. Sound proofing adequate. Walls and tiles in balcony area black. Inside the apartment the carpet almost black and black tiles in the kitchen. Although this helps with disguising wear and tear it was a bit depressing. The furnishings were of good quality. The shower not only requires you to step up and into a spa bath base but it was also black tiled as well. In order to turn the shower on you need to flatten yourself against the fixtures wall in order not to get the first steam of cold water. Impossible to reach taps without being in the spa bath base.

Cooks Hill is a beautiful location a short walk to the city and unlimited pubs, restaurants, and cafes right at our doorstep. The accommodation is clean, new and all the facilities you need. The rooms are quiet, almost sound proof and if you like a sleep in you can close off the light totally. All the facilities you need with a kitchenette. Definitely the location is the biggest plus. Newcastle is the coolest and most underrated city in Aust.

Location in the center of Newcastle, close to restaurants and facilities. Parking was very good and safe, but was an additional cost. Staff were friendly and helpful, gym was good. Room size was large and thet kitchen and dining area were very good. Bedroom was large and bed comfortable, a mirror in the bedroom would have been good. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

The hotel is situated in a great spot, and despite being on the busy Darby Street, the rooms are quiet. Thew rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom supplies make it possible to eat in if desirable. A negative was that I did not know that I would need to pay an extra amount for secure parking beneath the hotel.

The apartments are in a very central location, with lots of eateries and shops at its doorsteps. It can get a bit noisy at night but will become quiet by 12 midnight.

Huge apartments inconvenient location with bedroom rear making for very quiet experience

Excellent location, well equipped kitchen, kitchen, bedroom and living area clean and spacious. Helpful, friendly staff. As we didn’t have a car we arrived at the front of the hotel and found we needed to carry our luggage up stairs where there was a lift to the next floor. We were unaware that we had to negotiate stairs to our room. We are both in our 70s, could do it now but in the near future maybe not. A studio apartment that we saw did not have this problem but was a lot smaller. Definitely stay here again.

Nice big room for a family of 3 & perfect location for dawn service in Newcastle

We had the one bedroom apartment which is absolutely huge. It has two outdoor seating areas on opposite sides of the unit. Access to your unit, the building, and the garage are all a single code to remember. The elevator is quick, though there are only 3 levels (garage, lobby, rooms). The one bedroom apartments are strange in that you have to enter the code at two different entry doors before heading up a staircase to reach your living space. The rewards of the living space more than offset the quirkiness of getting to it.

The apartment we were originally given had a staircase we didn’t want to climb, as we are both in our eighties. Staff quickly arranged another one for us without any bother. Although a bit noisy, as on the street side, we loved the apartment. It is next door to the gym, but no one used it while we were there. Suppose it might be noisy during the week. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere. 13 minutes to a wonderful restaurant for dinner (Jana), with a lovely walk back along the river. 160 metres to a great cafe for breakfast (Autumn Rooms). There are so many great places to eat very close by. Nice friendly staff.

Narrow, steep stairs. Two lifts - no one to help us. We took the wrong one. Kitchen shown as comprehensive in the photo; but no frying pan or spatula. Second garage door closed too quickly whilst we were still reading instructions.

Close to everything in the city. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes.
