Lovely guesthouse right on the Great Yarmouth coast. Excellent base for the racecourse, only a 20 minute walk, and 15 mins to walk down to the pier. Jean is an excellent host who made us feel welcome right from the start. Highly recommend the White Lodge to anyone looking to stay in Yarmouth.

A wonderful stay that started with such a warm welcome from the host, who explained all we needed to know about the room, breakfast and the facilities. Parking was free, on-road, but in a quiet residential area of Gt. Yarmouth. Bed was huge and really comfortable. En-suite bathroom clean and adequate. Breakfast was excellent, perfectly cooked. WIFI was free and worked well. Would stay again tomorrow!

Jean is a fantastic host and so friendly. We had a really great stay. She even gave my mother-in-law a birthday gift and card when she knew it was her birthday. The location is great with the sea and walks just across the road and lovely little coffee shops nearby. Also a easy walk distance to the main Marine Parade area with lots of entertainment. Bus stop also just across the street. Only slight negativity is a very high step in and out of the showers.

Jean at the White Lodge was an amazing host. Very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. During my stay, I met and spoke to a lot of other guests who had been going for years, which emphasises the warmth and homely nature.

After our booking elsewhere was abruptly cancelled, we found ourselves landing on our feet with The White Lodge, staying for Easter weekend. Jean cannot do enough for her guests; she sets the standard for hosting. It was such a nice surprise on Easter Sunday to have chocolate eggs waiting for us at breakfast, only for Jean to go and top it by gifting us these knitted chickens, which she had personally made for guests during the quiet winter. Thanks again for a great stay; next time we plan a visit to Great Yarmouth, we would definitely look to rebook.

Breakfast was fantastic.

I had a wonderful stay at the White Lodge. A lovely clean comfortable room with a sea view and and next to the beautiful Venetian Waterways, where you can enjoy many of the lovely coffee shops along the front. My host at the White Lodge, Jean, is a great host. Fabulous breakfasts, and looked after me for my entire stay. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend staying at the White Lodge in fabulous Great Yarmouth.

Short walk to the beach, quiet area but walkable to the main attractions of GT Yarmouth. Jean was lovely and friendly, breakfast was great and Room (1) was very spacious and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The whole building was immaculate, the hosts could not do enough for you, food was excellent and made to feel part of the family! We have already booked for next year!
