I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very helpful and a nice service. When we took our cockapoo with us for breakfast the next day we waited at the bar not expecting to be allowed into the restaurant with our pooch but the lady welcomed us in saying its all dog friendly in our pub. We walked into the restaurant a two snobby couples starred at us when we walked in with our dog. DOG FRIENDLY ! If you don't like it don't come to a dog friendly place. The lady was lovely and took our order very quickly. The food was very nice. Another lady even brought my very well behaved dog who sat under my chair a bowl of beef. Thank you so much to the Turks Head for your hospitality.

The hotel room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were great and dinner and breakfast was very enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely comfortable room with a large bathroom. The full English breakfast the next morning was superb . Staff very pleasant and friendly , I would definitely return here next time I visit Rothbury.

Room ( i was in No 2 ) was in good decorative order . However there was a Green light permanently on all night by the door that could not be covered / turned off . Additionally when the Water Tank in the bathroom decided to replenish ( quite randomly - not after use ) it sounded like a Helicopter taking off . Very loud , and not conducive to a good nights sleep .

The room was spacious, well presented and clean. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Overall a friendly and nice place to stay with some character and charm to it. It was nice to see an old fashioned open coal/wood burning fireplace in use,even some of the regulars there kept it topped up,not just the staff. The breakfasts were lovely.

Gluten free breakfast & dinner was excellent. Unfortunately loud booming music in the evening was annoying in the bedroom

Big room, great staff

We stayed in the family room which was large and spacious.The food was great we had steak and Guinness pie which was lovely .The breakfast was great .An enjoyable area ,we will look to stay again to explore the area a bit more as we stayed here on our way to Scotland

It was a pleasant escape from the normal weekend

It was very friendly, the food was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed. The room (suite) was fine for our needs and the bed was very comfy. I guess, if we had been staying more than 2 nights, i would say the bathroom was very cramped and had no surfaces to put stuff on and the sink was no good for having a wash in as it was tiny. But we were only there a couple of nights and it was fine.

Bathroom too small, one waiter at dinner was poor.

Lovely stay, the room we stayed in was a bit tired looking, however it was clean and bed was very comfortable. The lovely staff were just pleasant and helpful. The breakfast, (included in the price) was huge and tasty. I really liked the fact that they offered a packed lunch as an alternative to the breakfast. The village of Rothbury was beautiful.

Lovely stay at the Turks Head Rothbury. Staff were helpful and welcoming. We were in no. 5 the Garden room. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Bed so comfortable. Very dog friendly.

Lovely pub with rooms. Friendly staff, big and comfortable rooms with nice decor (quite recently redecorated by the look of it), good bathroom, excellent breakfasts! Perfect spot for a stay in Rothbury.

Second stay, just as good as before. Nice spacious room, heating worked well. TV, double bed, desk, big wardrobe, good lights. Nice big bathroom, good shower. Wifi fast and reliable. Good beer, good food, very nice staff.

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. We enjoyed a well cooked evening meal as well as the English breakfast in the morning. We will certainly think about returning for another visit.
