Great location, really old and traditional.\n Rooms, very clean and quirky. Big, let down was the breakfast. It was appalling, the worst breakfast 2 cheap sausages, deep fryed Annihilated. Pile of mushrooms tinned, slice so so thin revolting.

24/04/26 Wonderful place and great friendly staff.. Went for a few drinks on our walk to a restaurant in Windsor and would’ve happily have stayed here.. Even got advice from one of the barman that lives in Oxford as I’m visiting on Sunday. Great place, friendly clientele and I’ll be visiting again soon 🍺 cheers

This was a lovely little getaway. The building is over 600 years old and quaint but nonetheless still comfortable, clean and warm. The team here are all friendly and welcoming. The breakfats is top notch and the fried eggs cooked to perfection. This was a really nice little getaway and it was also lovely to sit in the pub in the evening playing some backgammon. The staff know all the regulars and you feel the lovely atmosphere. Great little getaway, cool historic building, lovely team, delicious breakfast. It's also so close to everything. We left the car in the car park and walked everywhere with ease.

The rooms are clean and bright, the bed is super comfy! Staff are very friendly, and helpful. Very close to the high street, and the castle, plenty of restaurants and convenience stores open late. We will definitely recommend and stay here again! Thank you. Our stay was 14/09/25 Room Two.
