Room was lovely but no A/C which is really needed in the summer, they did however have a fan in the room for us. We called first thing in the morning to reserve a parking spot - no issues when we arrived. Swimming pool area was nice and heated, a bit small but we went late around 9pm and there was only 2 others in the pool at the time. Only downside was the elevators were not working at all! - and we were on the 5th floor so had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs. However the lovely lady on reception did not charge us for the parking fee for the night to compensate for the out of service elevator - thank you! :)

Put a flimsy kitchenette in a cramped hotel room, call it an “apart-hotel,” and suddenly you can skip daily cleaning. Smart business model, I suppose. Label the building “low emission” and don’t bother with air-conditioning – another genius move. That is, until Lyon goes through a canicule, which it did during our stay. The room was stifling, sleep was poor, and the only relief came from a small, noisy fan that barely stirred the air. Outside, a few homeless people were sleeping rough by the hotel entrance – I genuinely felt for them. If the heat inside was tough, it must’ve been unbearable for them. All in all, not a great experience. One to avoid, I think.

The Odalys Appart'Hotel is in a calm area with easy access by car to their underground parking. Good looking surrouding overall. The rooms are very clean and confortable, although quite hot due to no air-conditioning. They do provide a small fan. Their heated pool is nice enough for a quick dip. Location wise, it is close to the Confluence shopping center and to the river where one can take a nice walk.

It wasn't terrible, the reception was friendly enough, the room looked like it had been recently renovated and it was clean but the junior suite is just too small for two adults and two kids, you need to climb over the folding sofa to reach the other side. Interior and exterior felt a bit unloved, just dusty and worn although it's modern. The location is not great unless you actually want to be in the Confluence area, it takes 40 mins by tram and metro to reach the old town. It also looks quite 'shady' at a glance, including the people sleeping in tents directly outside and around the tram stop and up until the metro station is not very nice . However we did walk there and it was fine. Breakfast is ok, you can get your money worth, there's not much other choice within a 15 min walk anyways. If I really had to be in the Confluence area and I got a great deal, maybe, but otherwise, no.

A pleasant apartment fully equipped, with a balcony. Clean and quiet, close to the main attractions. Very good and rich breakfast. A small swimming pool and fitness area for some relax.
