Room was ok. Could do with a bit of a touch up. But the view was really good and the bed extremely comfortable. Shower good, cubicle on the smaller size. Food was excellent. Free parking outside and just across from the hotel.

Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB! The room was in good condition. The bed was a bit on the soft and saggy side. Great view though over the water. Hallways are clearly under ongoing repairs. The dinner dining area is quite nice. Breakfast area could use a refresh (especially that first booth seat). Overall, the Anchor Hotel was a great 2 night stop off for us. Thus has been a magical trip overall and the Anchor Hotel was a delightful find along the way!

Pleasant three star hotel in the middle of the village and with good views over the harbour.

Lack of lift was the main issue for me especially when I was in almost the further most room away with 4 flight of stairs. Afew things didnt function properly like sink stopper trickle of tap water and veey long reach for bedside lamp switch. The was on thich the TV is hung needs repainting . The food was very good.

Nice hotel on the harbour. Simple room. Big enough for two. Nice breakfast. Excellent restaurant.

Room needs a refurbish, bathroom sink was badly cracked and the heated towel rail didn’t work and was rusty, staff were good and breakfast was good too

Had two rooms booked but the Hotel cancelled the stay - received an email that evening (albeit late that evening it was still prior to the stay) from Hotels.com saying it was cancelled. We didn't stay and the Anchor Hotel have said it was a non cancellable rate and refused a refund despite cancelling their end- Neither the Anchor Hotel or Hotels.com seem to recognise that I have received two emails saying it was cancelled despite attaching them to the correspondence forms to customer service. Appreciate it was late and we hadn’t arrived by 11 but still shouldn’t have cancelled before the end of the stay- could have had our breakfast at least.

Beautiful town with amazing ruins that were easy to get to. The hotel had excellent food. Great experience.

Food and service at this hotel are excellent, my only negative was the shower needs an update

Perfect stay

While we were very happy with the accommodations, the clear high points of our short stay were the "above and beyond" helpfulness of the staff and the excellent restaurant and breakfast offerings (on our 1st evening in Scotland we were pleased to enjoy wonderful fish dishes &, of course, Haggis!!!).

Great location with easy on road parking outside. Smooth check in, receptionist very helpful. Modern, clean room. Exceptional dinner in on site restaurant. Good breakfast included. Only let down by repair issues in bathroom, crack in sink, shower needs re sealing, rusty heated towel rail, and rusty toilet brush holder.

A clean, quiet and comfortable room. A lovely dinner in the Sea Bed Restaurant followed by a very tasty breakfast. Good service from the staff.

Lovely hotel in Tarbert harbour. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Also ate evening meals in the restaurant as they were so good and with a varied menu. Room was lovely and comfortable. Free on street parking outside hotel. Would stay here again!

Be prepared for stairs if you have luggage. Room had a terrible view. Breakfast was delicious with a fantastic server. Great location.
