This place was huge and quiet

The receptionist was rude and claimed she spoke no English. On the second to last day of my stay she instructed the housekeeper to speak to me on the phone, and informed me I was late checking out. I got dressed and went to the front desk. When I got to the front desk she told me in perfect English she had talked to Expedia and I didn’t have to check out until the next day. No apology was given.

Es un hotel muy bonito pero la habitación olía a humedad, la cocina está muy limitada con los utensilios que te dejan, sería muy util un microondas. El desayuno estuvo bien pero nada fuera de este mundo, cumplia.

Rooms are very spacious I would fit more than two adults in a room. Loved the property big gardens

As with most of central Mexico language can be difficult even with young people. Hotel rooms and grounds are great.

None of the amenities that were advertised actually existed. I booked a kitchen because I like to cook. Very few cooking items were included, the stove didn’t work well and oven didn’t work at all. The refrigerator door wouldn’t stay closed. The fireplace did not work. The bed was hard as a rock. The bedding and towels were threadbare. There was no bar. The breakfast was passable but it had eight items only and two were not available any longer. The pool was not heated. The WiFi constantly cut out and worked VERY slowly for the brief periods it was working. The hot water (tepid really) ran out before one could complete a reasonable shower. The desk person in the morning and the waiter at breakfast were lovely. The rest of the staff was rude and surly. I am not a snob and I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but this was a total shabby lie. I expect it will fail soon. There were few guests and any other guests I with had the same complaints. Sadly, the hotel has amazing potential but is rundown and needs some upgrading and robust management. I would love to see it done properly.

Property originally a monastery, then medical clinic, and now a hotel. It was huge rooms, like a cave, and very poor lighting. Staff very nice, and helpful. It was never updated to be a hotel, it was designed to be a monastery. Bed mattress very poor. Internet - terrible. Ended up with no hot shower. I would like a refund or credit for bad hotel. hot shower

So far our stay has been amazing! The staff is professional but friendly. Facilities are clean, manicured and beautiful. The room is spacious, clean with all the details in place. Would highly recommend Hotel Danza del Sol to others.

For the most part it was great, have to remember that it is MEXICO. A bit noisy. Had to turn on the water heater and pull out and plug in the refrigerator but it served its purpose. Clean, spacious, and traditional. I’ve stayed here in the past and would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were huge, clean and well appointed but dated. Grounds were very well maintained and staff were very helpful. Pool was clean but needs a few tiles replaced. I can imagine in its day it was a beautiful property. For the money it was well worth it.

This is a well kept, clean property. Huge rooms. By American standards, although well kept, everything is worn down. Beds are hard, pillows not great. But again, everything is clean. The people are lovely but don’t expect them to speak English. The pool is great, the breakfasts are very good. Very quiet. My 3rd stay here. Convenient location.

The property is really old, but clean. The breakfast was great ! This property is in desperate need of a major renovation! I would not recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are dark and ceiling is very low. No a/c!

Este hotel esta en el mero pueblo, entre las casa de los locales y entre vistas magnificas de lo que es la vejetacion y fauna del pueblo Ajijic. En el iterior de apatamento hotel puedes sentir lo que es vivir como si fueras local. Si visitas te advieto el cuarto que nos toco no cuenta ni con calenton ni con aie acondicionado, solo tiene chimenea y ventiladoreportatil.

We enjoyed out stay in Ajijic. We loved the accommodations at Hotel Danza del Sol.

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are huge. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The property is beautiful with gardens, a pool and a playground. Our one bedroom villa was very spacious and cute. The breakfast restaurant was a treat and included with the room! It’s a lovely quiet place perfect for families.

Amazing property. Huge rooms. Could use some repairs to door jams and window screens but felt very compensated due to great price. Employees were always very helpful. Would recommend!

The room was quiet and very large. The staff were both helpful and very curtious. The grounds are kept clean and well manicured.

Very clean and spacious accommodations. Staff was professional and very helpful. On the down side, could have used more hot water, and some extra lighting near the shelfs.
