Normally, a hotel with 3 beds means that the hotel has already specified that it is for 3 people. Then we chose the one with breakfast. When we pressed the reservation button, we only entered information for 2 adults because it is convenient for searching hotels in the app. Otherwise, the system will offer a family room or a 2-bedroom room. We saw that the room we selected was for 3 people, which had 1 double bed and 1 small bed. The price included breakfast. However, there were 4 of us, parents and children, with children aged 5 and 7. When we arrived at the hotel, they asked to charge an additional 200 baht for breakfast per child, totaling 400 baht. We asked if the room was specified for 3 people. The staff said that we entered information to stay only 2 people. If we entered information to stay 3 people, it would be a different price. So, we charged an additional 200 baht per person. This was not a problem. The hotel said that it was a fee for accompanying people. We understood, but we were confused about the additional 2 people. Normally, other hotels do not charge 5-year-old children. We just thought that we had already booked for 3 people. The other 5-year-old child would stay for free because he/she would be sharing the same bed with his/her parents, which is the standard of other hotels.
