This is a lovely property right on the beach. Good breakfast and easy to walk anywhere for lunch or dinner with the boardwalk right outside the pool area. Can’t beat it. Would stay here again on our next visit to Arcachon

Wonderful sea access and view. Hotel dinner options not good.

Our room was not ready at the 3pm checkin time, and we were not given any reason.. the older woman at tge reception just said no when I asked if I could check in, I asked if she could tell me how long the wait might be so I could decide to go out. She said 15min , I sat in reception where she could see me, I waited 25min and asked again and another woman said yes I can check in now.. all the while letting me sit there. I am fine waiting, I know delays happen, but to not apologize or give an explanation was bad service.

The property is in a great location and right on the beach. Within walking distance to the centre for restaurants and activities. The pool and pool area are spotless and a great place to relax off the beach. Our room overlooked the pool and beach and our balcony was a great place for sundowners watching the sunset. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay for 5 nights in May.

Pix better than reality, old fashion look and feel. Great outdoor swimming pool but cold water! Nice Jacuzzi (10€/pers extra) but so much chlore than our eyes were crying due to the chemical burning.... when mentioned to staff, no reaction All in all, OK for 1 night stay with modest expectation.

I had read previous reviews about this hotel and the only negative I would agree with is some aspects of our room were "dated". But, with that anticipated, I was overall delighted with our stay. We booked a room with a sea view and there was no question that it had one. Value for money this hotel is right up there. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was excellent and our room was clean. Okay, so the toilet seat didn't match the toilet and was a bit loose, the mirror fronted cabinet over the basin was too low for me to see me face in when shaving, but they has a side mirror too, so these little points were too insignificant to make this anything other than an enjoyable stay at a very pleasant hotel set in a great position with great views and a 15min stroll into town.

Its in a great location right on the beach, and Arcachon is a lovely town with a great choice of restaurants

Needs another make over

Weather was a bit grim which meant we couldn’t enjoy the pool. Directions to restaurants from the reception was wrong - they marked the hotel in the wrong place on the map!

the hotel is in a fantastic location backing onto the beach with half of the rooms having an amazing sea view which is out of this world. You can see the sun set and rise from the rooms in the hotel. Only a short walk from the center of town where all of the bars and restaurants can be found. The hotel staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean in general. The only downside is that the hotel is a little dated and looks untidy from the rear. The hotel is in need of some TLC.

We booked the Arc Hotel as an overnight stop on our way to the South of France. On check-in the receptionist confirmed that our stay was pre-paid. She was very helpful and provided a map of the local area. The hotel is in a great location with direct access to the beach, our room was spacious and overlooked the garden. We spent an enjoyable afternoon in Arcachon and in the evening found a delightful restaurant close to the hotel which served very good food. On our return to the hotel we found that while there was a bar it was not staffed. When asked the receptionist brought drinks to our room. However, in the morning, on check-out, the morning receptionist demanded full payment, not only for local taxes and our drinks, but also for the room charge. Even when we showed her Hotels.com booking confirmation, which clearly confirmed our pre-payment, she was insistent that full payment must be paid. Unhappily we presented our credit card, which for some unknown reason was refused. We therefore paid in cash. We contacted Hotels.com immediately on arrival at our destination. At the time of writing this review our dispute over double payment with the Arc Hotel and Hotels.com has still not been resolved. This has not been a happy experience.

This place has the best location on the beach and close to all restaurants and shopping. You have your own pool outside which is protected by the wind by glass so you can still take in the view. Overall this place is great value!

Unreasonable price, 4 stars hotel price only worth 2 stars hotel standard, all the facilities need charged. We updated for a sea view room charged €40 per day, never go this hotel again

The hotel is on the water close to everything. Our room was at the front ( no view) but it had beautiful trees outside and we felt we were in a garden. Nice balcony. The bathroom was tub only with a hand held shower head. Awkward to work but the hotel price and everything else including wonderful staff made it a great stay!

The location of the hotel is fabulous, it is right on the beach and a 10 min walk to the centre of town. The staff were friendly and helpful. Limited free on site parking

Lovely hotel with a terrific location. Free parking a plus. Excellent pool and Boardwalk/beach access cannot be topped. Lobby billiard table and a nice breakfast service.
