Lovely clean property right in the Centre of Catania. There is a fantastic food and fish market practically on your doorstep. Loads of wonderful restaurants to walk to along with beautiful Baroque churches and architecture.

Cute place and excellent location! At night, there are several good restaurants in Via Gisira. In the morning, there’s a charming fruit and vegetable market. The b&b is also an easy walk to most sights of interest in Catania. The place itself is simple, but clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Oh, and if you’re driving, as in advance where to park. There’s an easy public parking place nearby.

When the taxi dropped me at the hotel I was very unsure. It is close to the fish market, bus and train station, and peeling paint and grafitti adorn the narrow street walls. At ground level there is just a wooden door with a small B&B sign pinned to it, but once inside marble stairs rise to the main door. The receptionist speaks very little English, but is very friendly and helpful. She even lugged my suitcase up the remaining stairs. The breakfast room is really well kitted for a cold breakfast, including cereals, various breads, fruit, yogurt, teas and a coffee machine. The spacious bedroom was decorated in sunflower colours(!). Live music placed somewhere nearby until midnight, then the streets became peacefully quiet. I was awoken by noises and voices outside my window before dawn. When I eventually ventured through the curtains I was surprised to see a fruit market right along the street. It may have been listed in the B&B details, but I hadn't taken note. I don't know if it is on very day, but it's there on Friday. All in all, I had a very pleasant and insightful stay for my first experience of an Italian city.

Lovely lady saw us in and helped us park in the craziness that is Catania! Room was simple but clean and large. In the vegetable section of the markets but still quiet and so clean after market finished. Great fish street food two mins away - Scirroco Fish Lab. Great location as two mins from Piazza del Duomo. Air conditioning was effective and breakfast was help yourself and filling. Would highly recommend for the price and location.

We actually refused to stay in this place. Reasons 1 not clean. 2 the street is home to a fish market that opens at 6 am. so actual installation start earlier ....... I suppose that if one is not too keen on cleanliness & does not mind being awaken at 5 am the B&B is in the old center next to the interesting things to see in Catania, including the market which is something to see.

The B&B is located in the fish / product market in Catania. the place is fine for a couple of days if you want to be in that area. Cloes to the Duomo and some really good reatruants. It's OK, breakfast has a few items -- nothing special -- but you can use the refgi and store your own stuff. Wake up early as the merchants will be shouting out there whares. And, there is no one -- no one around at night -- be careful.

I had such a wonderful stay at this lovely place :) I loved Catania! Gina the proprietor is a diamond! She met me for check in and was super friendly and polite. Answering all my questions and telling me about local sites and places of interest. Her recommendation for the amazing and famous Catanese "Pasticceria Savia"on Via Etnea was much appreciated (the food is amazing and I happily stuffed my face there). She then worried about my airport transfer giving me information about buses and taxis to the airport aswell as a map pointing out places to visit. Communication was great and she was more than approachable....I can't fault her! The room....extremely spacious and clean. I love the colour scheme of the place....warm orange and creamy yellows....very Sicilian, colours of the Sun. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom large. Cherry on the cake was the balcony over looking the famous street food market. That was really beautiful waking up and opening the balcony to witness all those gorgeous colours, sounds and smells of the market. The hotels location is super central....you walk 2 minutes and you are infront of the Catania Cathedral and main square with the elephant fountain. Also really handy for buses to the Catania airport which stop just round the corner. All in all I highly recommend Catania and staying here :).
