Positives Friendly staff, nicely presented decor based on Modern Vintage theme hotel, walking distance to main areas, breakfast. Negatives Parking, there is a £15 charge per night to park at the hotel, with no option to park on the road outside. The room was super hot, even with the window open and radiator off, paper thin walls, you can literally hear everything coming from the other guests in their room! We stayed in one of the superior rooms with a jacuzzi bath, which was great, however the shower was near impossible, due to the low ceiling and hand held shower, and lastly, the reception area smells of stale cigarettes, maybe to do with people smoking right outside the front door.

Staff were so lovely and room was immaculate. They were very accommodating in allowing us to leave our bags for the day after check out which allowed us to enjoy our time in york even further.

Our go to accommodation when visiting York, absolutely amazing small hotel/ guest house, I would say Clementines is the best accommodation in York.

This property is beautiful, plenty of parking. The staff are truly wonderful, everyone we came across was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely book again.

Great location within walking distance to York city. Quality furnishings and decor with attention to detail. Staff very welcoming, breakfast more than adequate. Definitely recommend

Deluxe room was cramped due to unnecessary amount of brown furniture. Changed to a second room which was better but still felt cramped. Honestly, expensive and overrated.

Such a lovely hotel with attentive, friendly staff. Would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending to family and friends!!

Lovely stay at Clementines as always . we've stayed here several times over the years. Comfortable clean rooms, lovely breakfast, nice bar area.

Great hotel for decor and style with very nice rooms and comfortable bed. Would be 5 stars but for small service errors and no towels in room on arrival. Breakfast freshly made and great quality.

Service from the moment of arrival to the moment we left was outstanding. Easy walk into the city. Voucher for ‘Guy Fawkes’ was useful and we had a fantastic meal there. Couldn’t fault the place. Would love to come back.

We stayed in Room 15 which was tastefully decorated, very warm and had nice touches including tea and coffee facilities as well as lovely bathroom.

From the moment you walk through the door you feel very welcomed the staff are amazing the breakfast is beautifully cooked and presented they have a little bar area which offers a wide range of drinks I can not find fault with anything and the resident cat is adorable and friendly will definitely recommend to friend's and family

From start to finish it was like home from home. It was a cold frosty weekend but the whole building was warm and cosy. Staff friendly Room beautiful - clean - everything you need. They even have a Cat called Teddy which made my stay. 5/10min walk into the center perfect for a york visit

We LOVED this place. 10 minutes walk from York Centre - friendly , helpful staff , breakfast fabulous and the room was divine - almost like a small flat . Had a fantastic few days 😊
