So peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Room very spacious and clean friendly staff and good food. Highly recommended we would definitely go back again.

Enjoy staying here for work trips, comfy beds but looking a little tired in places. Staff are amazing though

A great hotel with an outstanding staff team. Every member of staff we came across was professional, friendly and very helpful - from the extremely welcoming reception team, through the breakfast and bar staff, to a lovely groundsman who provided fascinating insight into the history of the hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was extremely spacious and well equipped; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular. As an older building, there wasn’t any air conditioning (a fan was provided) and the floorboards were creaky, but that was to be expected and didn’t detract from the beautiful environment and atmosphere. The hotel had a huge lake and a lovely garden area, with outside seating to enjoy the peaceful setting. This was our first visit but definitely a place we will return to.

Usual fabulous treatment from the staff. There is no aircon so it was horribly warm on Thursday evening in the attic rooms

Lovely property, staff are normally great but let down a little by the condition in some of the rooms, particularly in bathroom areas. It won't stop me staying again.

Great setting, with spacious and well appointed rooms. Shame that breakfast doesn't start a little earlier so it's of limited value to the business traveller.
