Nothing really bad about it, it’s just small with less amenities than usual and is a bit more dated

Be aware this hotel is older, the main building is from 1820, as such it has quirks of older buildings (squeaky floors, thin walls). With that being said, it was very clean and comfortable and a nice change from the usual chain hotels.

We are two couples traveling together in Iceland on the Ring Road. We absolutely loved this hotel. One of us was reminded of the old hotels in England he stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the spa on the patio and we ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a great meal. They even had a vegan option (one of us is vegan) made with vegetables from Icelandic greenhouses. The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet area. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Charming is the perfect word to describe this wonderful hotel. Sometimes charming is a bad thing, but in this case charming included all the modern conveniences, except a mini refrigerator. There is not much to do in this town, but the hotel room was worth the stay. We loved the swan and elephant towel sculptures as well. The only reason a 5-star review was not given is that anyone with a physical disability will have difficulty with the steep stairs inside and outside the hotel. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic.

Hotel is in a renovated old building which has a nice vintage feel with modern amenities. Nice breakfast in what I think used to be a bar 100 years ago, great decoration and the big plus is the pool outside with included bathrobes! Close to dining places just by walking.

This is a sweet quirky little chalet style hotel. It was built in 1833 ish and has some cool historical photos on the walls. It was fun to stay here for a night here after staying in more typical boutique hotels the rest of our trip. The receptionist was friendly and helped us find a place to eat near by when we arrived late, that we walked to. Breakfast was served in a tavern type space and was also wonderful. It felt very safe as well. The town it’s located in appears to be primarily a fishing village which is nice to see up close. It’s a short walk to the water from the hotel.

This hotel was excellent. Easy check in with pleasant and professional staff. Our room was very clean and had a comfy bed with lots of pillows! The bathroom had plenty of water pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent! Plenty of tasty options and fresh filtered coffee! Value for $$$ was top notch! Would recommend. Thanks

Stayed in the original 1884 section of the hotel which is quaint but comfortable. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a long day’s drive. A delicious breakfast spread is included.

I stayed in the Annex building. All in all it was fine. Just be aware that the rooms are small and close together. You will hear your neighbors (and they will hear you:). Breakfast a little underwhelming.
