Great little place very centrally located. Very accommodating and offers ground floor rooms for those with difficulty climbing steps.

We had to change rooms because the lights wouldn't turn off in our first room. Upon moving to another room, the staff had to unscrew a few bulbs to make things work...shower was good & beds were comfortable Staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was nice...overall a good stay except for the light switch issues

Great price and great location! Very responsive & friendly staff at the caffe. Room service was good except that some of the equipment in the room (e.g., soap dispensers and lights) should be checked regularly. Soap dispensers in our room were all faulty. Note to future guests with disabilities: There are no lift to help carry heavy luggage to the upper floors. Everything must be hauled up via the stairway. That wasn't a problem for us but perhaps to others who might ask the staff for help (They'll do it with a smile)

While not brand new, I think this was my favorite hotel of the whole stay in the UK. It was close to the hub of Oxford, but on a side street that was nice and quiet. The room was spacious, and there was air conditioning, a fridge, and a tub. Couldn't have asked for better during our stay in Oxford!

Cheap furnishings, tired fittings, rusty bathroom, dirty skirting boards, cobwebs in the eaves, dusty bedside table. Honestly, for the money, just awful. Management needs a rocket. I have never written a review before on anything, anywhere, I’m afraid Ethos needs to be called out. Standards and investment just not to be seen.

Parking is the only major issue. Location is good, only a short walk to the centre of town. Breakfast was good. We had a lovely Pizza for dinner

No reflection of amenities that were advertised on the advert on hotels . Com very misrepresented x very dated , dirty very tired very disjointed with rooms all over the place . Asked to be moved rooms and accommodated thankfully . Only slightly better. X Breakfast was a joke in a café on the opposite side of the road terrible service poor breakfast small quantity of food, cold lucked everything you could imagine will definitely not stay here again.

Staff were kind and helpful. The room was very small and there were workmen outside our window for a long periods of time.

A quiet part of Oxford, walking distance to most colleges (plus theaters and pubs), clean rooms, very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Nice small hotel in quiet neighborhood, about 15 minutes walk to downtown Oxford. Friendly staff, good breakfast menu. Room was big, had 2 double beds, walking shower.

Breakfast was excellent, good quality, and plenty of it. The room was clean but tired looking could do with general refurbishment, kitchenette tap felt like it could fall off. Plumbing was temperamental when we arrived but seemed to be fixed the next day. Make sure you pre book parking, we didn't, luckily they could accommodate us.

Breakfast was good. Parking was 30 pounds to park on the sidewalk. They gave 20 back in a restaurant/bar credit. Shower clauking was moldy, shower leaked all over the floor. Bed was ok. King size. The pictures on expedia were for sure misleading. This place was in a neighborhood that you could barely drive a car down the street. The main building where rhe restaurant was had an odd odor. I wouldnt stay there again.

The property offers good value. It’s a reasonable price and a 12 minute walk to the City center. The in room amenities were okay. The staff were helpful. We had an issue with hot water which was promptly. The Ethos cafe is handy but the food options including breakfast is only average What I didn’t like: the property should disclose prominently that accessibility may be an issue as there were many steps both to check in and to our room.

Very good staff and interesting rooms.

This is a little hotel made from some houses so there isn't a lobby or lifts. But my room was spacious and had everything I needed (little mini kitchen in the corner too!). The breakfast was excellent. We hung in the dining room at the end our our day with some drinks chatting with other guests and the bartender which was really nice. This was our favorite place to stay on this trip.
