The Banyan Tree offers the chance to stay in a beautiful eco village amongst nature with beautful swimming pool and gardens and only a 20 minute stroll away from the beach should you wish to venture outside this peaceful environment. Showering outside in the beautiful private courtyard of your hut is invigorating and you are sometimes joined by little frogs and geckos for company! The most amazing thing that you will find here at the Banyan Tree is the hospitality though which you would struggle to find even in the best 5 star hotels. Annu and Chinnu cannot do enough and the their business is a labour of love. They are blessed to have Sanjay and the rest of their amazing team who always greet you with a smile. I have just enjoyed 13 wonderful days at the Banyan Tree, 7 of which were on a yoga retreat. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful location amongst nature but close enough to the action when you feel like a change.

From the moment I arrived a calmness descended upon me and stayed long after I left. Annu and Chinu have created a magical peaceful haven and are keen to listen to what the guests want from their stay. Eimear is a brilliant yoga teacher and inspires you to want to participate each morning. The food is amazing and the location is perfect for a quiet stay. The beaches of Ashvem and Mandrem are close by with a lovely walk past the friendly locals. I was very sad to leave but know I will return in 2015. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Anu and Chino built this place from scratch using perma culture principles. Out of passion and love. This emanates throughout the whole atmosphere at Banyan Tree Yoga Hotel, from the moment you first meet them to the second you wave goodbye. I thought it looked fishy with an array of only 5 star reviews, but I'm echoing the choir. This place is fantastic. Even the toilets are an experience. Shower under the open sky and sip on freshly made lemon tea brewed from leaves picked in the garden. Mosquito nets over the bed help keep bugs out, which there is quite a few of. But it seems like a natural part of the environment, so it did not feel like a problem.
