Had a Marvellous time - The staff make you so welcome and everything is catered for excellently- from breakfast to assisting with dinner reservations, places to see, the owner even went to get a razor and shaving cream from the local shop as I had forgotten mine, Champagne for our anniversary - I can not recommend this place enough it’s a place of tranquility and splendour.

Well situated with beautiful backyard to the vinyards, while only a 2block walk from the main street of Franschhoek. First impressions were great with easy checkin, quick rundown of property and welcome glass of wine. We did have some issues with the Cleaning services not replacing coffee, milk or sometimes cups. Also one window was left wide open for a day, which is concerning with regards to potential crime( luckily nothing was stolen) The room and shared area was stunning! Very stylish and clean. Loved the bathroom. Pool and outdoor area was very nice.

We had an wonderful stay at Le Cle Village. The property is so beautiful and quaint. The pictures don't do it justice. The attention to detail was amazing - little touches really made a difference. I loved that the wine we had was made on the property. The service was excellent - Melanie and her team were so wonderful and attentive. We had a delicious traditional meal in house one night and it was definitely worth it. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

It was an amazing stay. It is a small property with several separate villas, each containing at least two guest rooms/baths with shared common spaces - kitchen, living room (ours had a fireplace), study, dining room and outdoor courtyard/garden area. Check in was blissfully informal; they simply walked us to our room and gave us a tour of the grounds. Each villa has a pool, and they grow their own grapes on sit (try their Pinot!). Bathrooms are of varying size/composition, so check with the property if you have specific needs. We actually had the place to ourselves the first night, and even after others checked in, we essentially didn't see or hear them. They provide all the usual amenities - slippers, robes, toiletries (to include the most divine smelling body oil) - as well as adapters for your plugs. For those from the US, some of their sockets will take a European-type adapter, but most will not. The good news is that most electronic devices support the voltage down there, so you won't need a voltage converter (just the plug adapter). Breakfast is served communally. They put out pastries, fruit, etc and offer hot items by request. If you want anything, simply ask your butler. The town center is only a few blocks away, so there is easy access to the grocery and drug stores (amongst other things). They provide cruiser-type bikes that will get you to some of the closer wineries, and they will schedule reasonably priced transfers, tastings, dining, etc for you.

Our stay was incredible - I can't recommend La Cle Village more highly, especially because of the wonderful team of people who work there. They are very welcoming and attentive but are not at all overbearing, making it really feel like a home away from home. We stayed for 2 nights and were initially drawn to the location because of how close it is to town. While we definitely took advantage of that, once we got to the relaxing room we ended up spending more time on the property than we expected. The breakfasts were a big highlight! Thank you to Scott and Rachel and the team for a wonderful stay

The team at La Cle went out of their way for you, nothing was too much trouble. They upgraded us to a suite which was beautiful and had amazing views of the mountains. We would definitely recommend and hopefully return one day

The hotel is set in beautiful and extensive grounds, and is a five minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Franschhoek. It feels small and intimate, and is a wonderful place to relax. Staff are friendly and very helpful without ever being obtrusive. Breakfast was delicious.

Exceptional service, present when needed but unobtrusive. The manor couldn't be more tastefully appointed, and its position is spot on for the village - far enough back for privacy but more than close enough to walk.

Brilliant spot with a great host & top notch service. Huge property on a quiet street just 2 minutes walk from the main street & local shops/restaurants. Well-appointed, clean rooms. Huge breakfasts with a ridiculous amount of choice. Would happily stay again.
