What a lovely establishment! Tim was extremely friendly & helpful. The property was so picturesque and enchanting. Can’t wait to visit again!

The building has a kind of shabby charm that worked for us. It was clean enough. The location is excellent if you want to be about a 20-30 min walk to the theatres.

While the Inn itself was quite charming, there were hiccups. We are two women travelling together on a theatre trip, who reserved and paid for two separate rooms a month in advance. We were on a tight schedule (we arrived after matinee of a play, with just enough time to check in, dump our bags, freshen up and head for our early dinner reservations before taking in an evening performance). When we arrived, we discovered someone else in one of the rooms we had reserved. What followed was disconcertingly like a French farce, as two other women had the same problem.

Good accommodation. But in the tea/coffee area, both the milk and cream turned bad. There's also no hot water for the tea. Bummer.

What a lovely historical inn! Restored where it counted, and modernized where it needed. Note: there are no elevators, so be prepared for stairs if you're booked on the second or third floors. Also: there is no reception on site, so pay attention to the check-in details sent to you by the owner.

The owners are really nice. The location is good. The street is quiet. The room was clean with air conditioning. There is plenty of parking. It is beside a train track but it never went passed when we were there. We were told it only passes by once in the morning between 8-9 and once in the afternoon between 5-6.

Lovely old inn. Note - there is no elevator and the stairs can be a bit intimidating. Excellent service. The coffee in the morning is excellent.

Stone Maiden Inn is a charming place to stay in Stratford. The rooms are beautifully and individually decorated, each with its own unique character and style. The layout of the inn is thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while still offering plenty of privacy. If you're looking for accommodations with personality instead of a typical hotel, this is a wonderful choice and located within walking distance of downtown core. The attention to detail and distinctive charm make for a memorable stay. Thank you Tim for a wonderful stay .

What a difference a year makes. Stayed in this facility a year ago and since that time the facility has seemingly not been properly maintained. There has obviously been a water leak. The ceiling and wallpaper have not been properly restored or painted and the ceiling fan may have been replaced but the ceiling not finished appropriately. The bathrooms are in need of upgrades. there is garbage at the back of the house (old fencing, etc) which is untidy and makes parking an extreme challenge.

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at Stone Maiden Inn. Our rooms were charming and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our hosts were most gracious, helpful and made us feel so welcomed. It’s in a great location as the theatres and restaurants are within walking distance.

Our group had a wonderful stay at Stone Maiden Inn mid-June. The owner, Tim, was onsite at 4pm for check-in and was also down the next morning around 8:30 to ensure morning coffee and tea was fine for all his guests. We arrived shortly after 4 and Tim greeted us personally, since Donna was showing other guests to their room and giving them a tour of the property. He also noted that we were 2 couples travelling together and showed us a nice little sunroom, off the billiards room where we could get together. He also mentioned that there were sitting areas on the property. He told us about the 24-hour coffee and tea station upstairs as well as the community fridge. There is a Keurig machine as well as a hot and cold water machine for tea with cream and milk in the fridge. We had the Romeo & Juliet room, which was lovely. It had a comfortable king-sized bed with a canopy, lovely marble-topped dresser and end tables, a small sitting area, a closet with fluffy robes, a small bathroom with a shower and a large 2-person soaker tub. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower and liquid hand soap at the sink - we usually bring our own toiletries, so only used the hand soap. The room also has a ceiling fan, as well as a window air conditioner with remote, so we were quite comfortable. Even though we stayed on a Friday night, and our room was closer to one of Stratford's main streets, we did not hear any noise from traffic. We would stay here again.

Parking was easy. even though they advertised coffee and snacks, no snacks were provided, the floor and bed was squeaky. Basically it was just a room.

Older property. Beautifully maintained outside. Easy parking. No longer serves breakfast. Hands-off staff approach. Beautiful old fashioned room. Bathroom very small. Mirror below face level for 6 foot frame. Shower very small. Well located, close to downtown. Easy walk to theatres, shops, etc. Overprived for what was offered. Essentially a nice room with fairly poor amenities.

Easy friendly check in . Fresh coffee was made as it was a chilly, rainy day. Third visit. Decided to go for the Princess Diana room. Comfortable bed and sitting area, but a little weird having shower stall right in bedroom. Two piece washroom was in sad shape. Appreciated coffee in the morning but site we used erroneously suggested there would be pastries. Really missed the breakfast they used to serve but even a muffin would have been a nice and economical touch. Felt it was not great value for what we paid.

When we arrived there was no one to greet us and when someone arrived, there was little explanation, however, the place was clean, and our overall experience was very good.
