This is a very basic, minimal frills hotel. Our room was tiny with little to no air conditioning, which makes sleeping difficult if you run hot. Showers are the tiniest I’ve ever seen. The plus side…the staff were amazing and very helpful! The location is ideal for exploring the wonderful surroundings. I can’t comment on the breakfast because we didn’t partake.

Location, location, location

A beautiful hotel with a large room overlooking the square the only downside is the noise from occasional yobs late at night outside which was not all night.

The only thing I would say against this hotel is that, what they say they have and what they actually have, don't always match up: e.g. things that they said they offered on posters (inside the hotel) were not available when we asked for them, amenities that were clearly shown on photos of the rooms, were also not all present. Apart from this, the hotel is really welly situated close to all the central attractions, has excellent transport access, and easy access to multiple external food options.

Staff was not very friendly

Location is excellent as really close to the tram, shops and historic centre. Room was clean and quiet despite being right in town. Hotel staff were super friendly and polite. Our main issue was that the room we booked for 3 adults (we are friends) didnt have a bathroom door! It was open plan and had a mirror positioned in exactly the wrong place so people sitting on the bed could see inside the shower. The toilet was in a separate cubicle but didnt have a sink, meaning you had to come out of the loo and go into the main bathroom bit, the loo also had a frosted glass sliding door that didn't give much privacy. Probably fine for a couple but we all get a bit awkward!

Great location to see everything, lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. Nice room. Clean and comfortable.

One night stay for us. Great location and easily walkable everywhere. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations as we got a really good deal on our room. The room was fine - fairly basic but just what we needed and expected. All in all great stay and would use again if passing through Dresden.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Great location; near many restaurants, the Allstadt area, wonderful art museums, and many of the spectacular historic buildings and sites.

Large, clean room overlooking the Christmas market

We stayed over the Christmas period and had a balcony room. This was the most magical experience. Laying in bed listening to the carols, bells, people laughing. The view was amazing. The property is old as most building in Europe but all amenities were great. Couldn’t fault besides from limited access to taxis and no Ubers in the area. Roads also get closed during Christmas market periods. Plan ahead and don’t make the mistake like us as we almost missed our train due to not having car transportation close by. Plenty of tram options if you can navigate and shopping centre across the street!

Staff was awesome and quickly resolved any question and requests. Location is perfect!

Poor hotel We paid for a suite. 2 very large rooms. Almost no furniture . 2 giant empty rooms The bedroom has no furniture - no chairs nothing to put clothes on. The other room has a leather/ plastic couch from the 1950’s TV wasn’t connected and had no signal. Heating didn’t work and they had to re-program the system. Breakfast not included and they kept trying to sell us breakfast. Check in time was 3pm and they made us wait. We came back at 2:50’and were told to wait 10 minutes.
