Characterful old hotel overlooking the river.

A bit noisy out front,… especially if you sleep with windows open at night.

The staff is extremely friendly; the breakfast is delicious. We had a beautiful room with a balcony. Highly recommend this hotel. Great location.

The room was small but very cozy, with everything we needed and more. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The staff member at the front desk was very welcoming and provided useful information about nearby places to visit, along with excellent assistance throughout our stay.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. The accommodations were wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Hornan. We had a beautiful view of the Cathedral spires, river, and rooftops from our small but very comfortable room. Every was clean and in good condition. Petter and Ishmam at the front desk went above and beyond to help gather information on (Ingmar) Bergman filming locations in the city and even prepared a summary cross-referenced with a local map. I'm a big "Fanny and Alexander"/Bergman fan and really appreciated their help as they added more than I'd found on the internet before leaving the States. The hotel's location is excellent and close to everything. Definitely recommend having a cup of tea or cocktail in the lovely lounge with its high ceiling and pretty decor. Hope to stay here again for future Bergman festivals.
