Solo traveller. Stayed at the Victor Hugo on two nights a week apart. A comfortable experience in this traditional French hotel, Very good breakfast. The Managers are very friendly. First room was better than the second which was rather quirky but OK. Not far from the Centre Ville station which was handy.

Very quirky - two interconnecting rooms for the price of one! Very simple and basically furbished, beautiful large bathroom and separate loo. We had the garden room (more like a small apartment minus kitchen!) so were woken by the dawn chorus! Considering we were five minutes' walk from the centre of Dijon, this was amazing - so quiet! Would recommend.

Acceded all my expectations for a two star hotel.

We were welcomed by a very friendly young lady who was willing to help us in spite of our language limitations. We were able to park in the hotel grounds, and then walk to the city center. The walk was short and the area was safe. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a very hot day but the air conditioning worked perfectly! We specially appreciated the proximity to the beautiful Dijon Center because we decided to take a break from the afternoon heat and go back later. The town was full of life when we came back, and again we felt very safe. I was honestly surprised by how affordable this hotel was!

A simple and good value hotel - perfect for an overnight stay.

Spotlessly clean hotel, comfortable and quiet. Staff very friendly - don't appear to have much English but not a problem for us. Good location, 5 mins walk from centre. No elevator. Plenty of cheap street parking

Very basic Breakfast. It was noisy late check-in group or family or party on our floor for the rest of the night. Very disturbing and hotel staf did not do anything about it.

A very good value hotel, a pleasure to stay in. Has its own car park underneath at very modest cost. It is conveniently situated, within a short walk of the centre. The people are very welcoming and pleasant. I could not fault the room and facilities, and slept like a log. Breakfast is straightforward French and of excellent quality. Oh and very good wi fi. I shall stay here next time I'm in Dijon.

An older hotel, good value for money. Walking distance to all the down town sights.

Room was very dark. Shower was very nice except the height adjustment was broken so you either had to bend down to get under it, or hold it above your head. Easy access to Dijon.

Excellent staff, breakfast, location, situation, pricing, and general feel of tranquility and local-ness. No pretension. Within an easy walk to restaurants, etc. we are on an extended France trip and this is among our favorite hotels.

Wonderful location centre of the town just perfect traditional French hotel. We were staying there when the temperatures were 36° at night how marvellous to have an air-conditioned room and I lovely old place
