When checking in we were way early. But luggage storage and frozen fish storage were great options. Instead of wondering around desk clerk offer an upgrade to be able to check in early. A room was available and we were able to relax and enjoy Kodiak City at our leisure.

Everything in Kodiak is expensive in the summer, of course, but $300 a night for a hotel at this level is a bit shocking. That aside, our only real complaint is that some of the rooms, including ours, cannot be reached without using stairs. We had two weeks worth of luggage with us to drag up the stairs. And then down again when we checked out. So that was a bit of a hassle.

Overall very nice and clean. Staff was very accommodating and the redo was very good.

It was everything you would expect from a small Alaska town.

My room didn't have working A/C but I was never informed, and they would not let me change rooms. The ceiling fan/light used a strange controller that did not seem to work and there were no instructions for it. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent, but reception not so much. Location was good for me. Overall, way too expensive for what you got.

Kodiak is our home. We were born there. The KI uses to be tjw supreme place to stay. The room we were assigned was way at the end of the back building, which was hot at night, dispite a nice ceiling fan, opening the window helped. Customer service was great. When asked, cleaning staff were curtious and cleaned tje room for us. Definitely not a big city facility but okay.

We didn't explore as we got there lare. Friendly and accommodating.

One of the best hotels in kodiak. Great bar, restaurant and morning breakfast.

With not to many options on Kodiak to stay, this was fine. Definitely outdated and could use some improvements for what how much they charge but it had the basics...clean, quiet, comfortable beds. Check-in was quick and you can walk to the liquor store and nearby restaurants (Henri's was very good) but otherwise...it is difficult to get around town without Uber and very limited taxi service. They have a restaurant onsite also that served a nice breakfast and dinner with a great view of the marina.

Overall the hotel was good for a short stay. The room was well worn, but was decently clean. Staff were nice. They charge $75 if you want to checkin before 230pm and the shuttle only runs to the airport for the Alaska Airlines flights. It is convenient to the harbor area. I would stay again if I were coming in to fish or fly out to another location the next day.
