The bedding was great and the breakfast was average. The only real downfall was that you could tell the carpet was old and on the dirtier side because you could feel it crunch under your feet. I couldn’t see dirt but you could tell it was well worn.

The fact that it was an agricultural and train town wasn’t disclosed BEFORE booking this hotel. It was noted after the non refundable purchase was made. At least they offered free ear plugs in the lobby. There was also zero parking available during my stay besides the 2 handicap spots that were left. I’m not knocking the hotel for being fully booked, but when they ask for car info and such I would expect there to be enough parking spots for at least each room to have 1 car with it. On that note, I will say the property was very nice about letting me park in the handicap spot and not towing me or getting a ticket. The room was clean and we didn’t have any other issues

It was definitely a comfortable and quite stay the service was fast and simple the price was great we got checked on daily and breakfast was delicious hands down the best motel in Dalhart if Best Western wasn’t there I’d sleep in my car or in a corn field so thank you BestWestern

We really enjoyed our sleep. We were there such a short time. The beds were clean and smelled fresh. The shower was warm and had a good pressure. The parking lot was easy. The trains were so loud! But! We were so tired we didn't even mind

The office staff was awesome. Very personable and polite. The room was great.

Property and room was clean and comfortable. The on duty manager was great. I was there attending a funeral for a fallen comrade and she gave me a late check out. Thank you..

Nice spot to lay your head for the night! Very clean and comfortable!! The train was a bit noisy but nothing to complain about! Would stay again for sure! The breakfast was spot on and delicious for a hotel breakfast!

Truck and train traffic was extremely noisy

Cattle haulers made it stink, trains and closeness to road very loud and fan in bathroom squeaked on top of it, got no sleep

Noisy

When checking in with my husband and kids we were told that any children over the age of 13 were charged as adults. I booked through Travelocity and had to enter the ages of my kids when searching for a room. While we weren’t charged for them as adults, I do have to question that if they cannot “rent a room” according to this property’s policy until they are 18 and a legal adult, why would they be charged as such. Other than that the rooms are clean, great water pressure and heat in the shower. The trains are not as loud as I would have expected from other reviews, and the office does offer free ear plugs.

Rooms are clean and spacious and that is the best thing I can say about this property. Had problems with the room keys not working but the worst part is the noise. The road noise from the constant flow of trucks is bad enough but add in the trains blowing their horns all night and sleep is very hard to come by. There are earplugs available at the front desk but they are useless when it comes to the trains. Bring everything with you if you plan on stopping in this little town because there is nothing available after dark.

Train and noise an issue. But with white noise was fine.
