Just got home from a wonderful break in beautiful Cornwall. The hotel was fantastic! Friendly staff, great food and the room was amazing! Can’t wait to return to The Cornwall xxxx

Sadly our room was terrible, the shower tray was dirty with the plug hole filled with disgusting brown looked like sanitation use. The mattress was sunken so no sleep. The towel was filthy. The mattress cover had what looked like urine stains. I had immediately flagged it to management who sent us to the bar and offered a free drink which we didn’t want as we just wanted to settle into a clean room they left us to go and look and then we were told they would do nothing, at that point we didn’t realise how bad the bed was. The following morning we were shattered and the smell from the bathroom was nauseating we had booked for 3 nights and there wasn’t anyway we could stay for the next two nights in that room, they charged over £160.00 for a horrendous night with no sleep and said if we checked out we would get the money back for the following two nights, we felt we had no option but to check out though we had nowhere to go and it was my sisters remembrance. The staff on reception apologised but said they weren’t authorised to do anything to help. We have stayed at the place a year ago and had a lovely experience and had given a good review, we had booked this time in good faith and was totally shocked by the contrast, really upset by the lack of care or interest in our case, it was one of the worse hotel experiences I’ve ever had in my life.

Great place to stay and everything was top quality

Breakfast was money well spent. Unfortunately, booking my evening meal was impossible, tried booking a reservation but my only options were up to 18:30 or after 21:45. Being a hotel resident didn't guarantee me a table, because it's not exclusive.

It was a pity the staff did not point us to the relevant amenities. e.g. the hot tub we discovered by ourselves and did not use the hotel swimming pool. otherwise, very practical place to stay.

Wonderful stay with a big air conditioned room, wonderful food and a delightful spa/pool.

Disappointed as I left belongings in the room and was not contacted. The hotel policy is to wait a month and then dispose of them. My understanding is that a finder must make reasonable efforts to trace the owner in the first instance - which should not be a problem knowing the room number, occupant and their email address.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cornwall Hotel and Spa. A great location and setting with plenty of accessible activities on site, wonderful staff and delicious meals. We would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.

Pros: lovely pool and spa area with dedicated adult only swimming times, air con worked well in our room although noisy. Cons: like some of the others reviews say the rooms are quite run down, our room had a broken mirror, the decking on the balcony was unstable, tea and coffee stains on the wall, only one robe in the wardrobe, one of the mugs had tea/ coffee stains, the tv in the room is very small for the space and you would expect a coffee machine and not a sad little kettle for the Superior room.

The hotel and room were spotless. It was a very comfortable stay and we’ll certainly return. The wet spa was first class and we enjoyed the pool and steam room each day. The gym was small but well equipped. The grounds were well maintained with facilities for children.

The staff were so welcoming, the restaurant staff were very helpful arranging suitable meals with the chef for my partner who has dietary requirements. Our room was excellent along with the spa, we had a very enjoyable 6 night stay and hope that we will be able to return in the not too distant future.

We had a lovely stay at The Cornwall and enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room over the couple of days we were there. The breakfast was very nice and the room clean and tidy. Some tlc was needed in the room, curtains not hung properly and some water marks on the wallpaper, and the bed was super soft, which is unusual! It was comfortable, but took a nights adjustment to get used to it. The swimming pool and sauna area could also do with some tlc in parts, but generally was really nice. The garden outside was lovely and the sun loungers very welcome in lovely weather. The outside spaces were generous and you could have a lovely wander about which was nice. We relaxed and enjoyed our stay.

The whole stay was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious, appetising, hot and tasty. The spa facilities were clean and not too busy to be enjoyable. The gardens were well tended and provided a lovely place to sit and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. It was in a lovely spot to explore the surrounding attractions and coastline. I can thoroughly recommend it!

A really tranquil and well thought out hotel. Great little touches like including an anniversary card in the room for us, and extra amenities in the spa. The staff were friendly and polite, the food was good quality. We ordered room service and the cheesecake was possibly the best I've ever had, it really was perfect 😂😍 the room was spacious and had a lovely little balcony with furniture, we even saw rabbits hopping around adding to the relaxing, retreat vibes. Overall we would definitely reccomend staying here, and we will definitely back (for the hotel and for the cheesecake!)

Excellent hotel with lovely friendly staff who are always happy to be of help. The breakfasts are varied, bar meals and restaurant meals are all excellent. Great base for visiting Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and all the lovely coastal villages and towns this side golf Cornwall. Highly recommend.

The location, stay and amenities were great, just as expected. However, after 2 follow up calls and now over 3 weeks since our stay, the hotel still haven’t released our deposit (they take a £250 hold on check in). No-one bothers to reply. Poor customer service.
