I visited the Anchovy Hotel eight years ago, and this is my second time. The still-chic staff, slightly pricier café drinks, and the familiar room conditions brought back a lot of memories.

Room is not clean.

It was a nice place to stay and visit the attractions.

Wonderful harbour views from the seaview rooms.

가족여행으로 좋음. 방이 정말 넓고 나무바닥이라 아이들이랑 숙박하기 좋음 쇼파와 테이블이 있어 간단한 식사도 가능하고 세면대는 욕실내가 아닌 방에 있어 편리함. 주차도 편리하고 디피랑에 걸어서 갈 거리임

an extremely run down establishment, with very poor service especially from the girl in restaurant that made breakfast.. uncooked meat & other food slapped on one plate… ie egg, tomatoe toast & fruit all mixed up…couldn’t drink the coffee…i asked for bacon to be cooked better, refused to do so… she was rude, in helpful & didn’t care about guests, too busy on phone & laughing with local fishermen… i liked the location close to fishing boat wharves but that was the best thing about hotel….ie…the action going on outside…. i asked for laundry service at reception early am, they said ok… came back in evening & it was still at reception, not laundered so i took it back dissapointed…. absolutely no english spoken… difficult when booking online so hope this helps YOU make better decision than i did….

Not as great as the photos. Clean but old

We enjoyed our stay at this pleasant and well situated mid range hotel. The hotel is on the waterfront and within walking distance of the central tourist attractions. The ferry terminal is about a 15-20 minute walk. The room - deluxe double ocean view was large and comfortable with all required amenities. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a good value stay in tongyeong

Anchovy is a very nice place at walking distance (few hundreds m.) from Gangguan but in a quieter corner. Ample, spotless room w picturesque view of sea. The staff helped me find my way through Tongyeong and to the ferries to the islands.

It was a great hotel, big room and comfortable rooms. The location is a short walk (20 min) down a busy street that isn’t so pedestrian friendly. We loved the quaint, unique location and we were always up for the walk to mural village, turtle ships, Diprang light show.

Breakfast was too slow.

It was very spacious and very good for everything.

view from deluxe ocean view room is so amazing.

매립공사중이어서 낮에 소음이 있었지만 기본적으로 조용한 지역임. 동피랑 외 관광지와는 가까워서 산책삼아 다녀와서 쉬기 좋음. 오래된 시설이지만 내부관리를 잘해서 깨끗함. 옥에 티는 이전 투숙객들이 남긴 담배냄새. 강력한 흡연관리는 계속하셔야할듯. 스탭분들 친절하기도 하신데 어르신 체크인하시는걸 우연히 보게 됐는데 업무용이 아닌 진심으로 대해주시는 모습이 따뜻했음.

Friendly staff, Property is old but it's clean.

This was a great hotel. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars across was for something that was easily corrected. There was a padded blanket that was over the fitted sheet that was awkward to sleep on. We asked for a second sheet to cover it and the rest of the stay was terrific. Good location (beware it is a working port); view was ok - not the best, but not the worst. Great location for access to Yi park, sculpture park, market and mural village. Easy to access. They spoke good english and were always helpful. Bed was amazing by Korean standards! Slept like home!

The room was nice for the price. Comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful, and having the cafe downstairs was convenient.

Stayed only for a night but this boutique hotel exceeded our expectation. Great stay!
