Pleasant, well kept hotel, good location for walking

Clean room and the staff is very friendly

The hotel real la Merced was so beautiful and clean, excellent service and delicious food in their restaurant. What's missing is a hot Jacuzzi by the pool for after touring Nicaragua all day. The are is in great location for restaurants but it's very dirty, noisy and dangerous. Lots of hungry people demanding food or money, lots of garbage around and people drive like maniacs.

Really beautiful old hotel in the middle of Granada, with wonderful staff! Everything is very walkable, and the attached cafe is wonderful.

A truly beautiful hotel. The staff is really lovely. We had breakfast only one morning & even they were lovely. The property is absolutely beautiful and in great location to anything you’d want to see/do.

I would have to categorize this Hotel as one of the best in the area. All of the staff were incredibly inviting and helpful the entire time from arranging Taxis to get me to do day trips to shuttles on elsewhere I needed to go and best of all there is a pool to help cool off considering how incredibly hot it can be in Nicaragua. The hotel is located in a very central location where you can walk one to two blocks down for food bars, and anything else you might need. Also they close the front gate at night so it’s super secured. Most importantly, this hotel is owned and operated by Nicaraguans if you support traveling ethically to ensure your money is circulated among the local economy and people.

The property could use some updates. The front desk staff was polite but not particularly warm. I got the impression that because I booked through a third-party site, I was receiving a more limited experience, this was mentioned more than once when I checked in. In the room, the hair dryer didn’t work, and the coffee setup wasn’t fully stocked. When we requested coffee supplies, what was brought didn’t work with the machine, so we weren’t able to use it. Some of the pool towels appeared quite worn, and the bathroom could use a bit more attention. The sink water had a cloudy look to it, which made us hesitant to use it even for basic things like brushing teeth. Pillows were small and not very comfortable. Overall, the hotel was okay, but I was hoping for a better experience.

We really liked our stay at this hotel. Staff is nice and helpful. The room was big and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the quiet atmosphere around it. Close to everything by foot.

Very nice hotel. Bryan the receptionist and the entire staff members are very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend it. My family and I stayed in there for 4 days we loved it. Definitely we coming back soon.

Beautiful old hotel. Nice pool. Staff was great. Restaurant had a great breakfast (ate out our other meals so I can’t judge). Good location. El Gato watched out for our parked car. Good location and convenient to explore local attractions. Would definitely visit again.

This is the best hotel in Granada! Comfy beds, great AC, hot water showers, cable, and a pool, all in a beautiful colonial house. I stay there every time I visit my family.

Location was great, hotel was vey nice and the staff was very helpful.

The stay was fantastic. They went above beyond expectations. Fulfilling special requests and helping with car troubles when leaving the hotel. Would return for a stay again in a heartbeat.

The staff were wonderful, the property was beautiful, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. They also went above and beyond to celebrate my boyfriend and I’s anniversary with beautiful touches to our room! Would definitely recommend!
