Our room (9) was reached by 4 flights of stairs. In the room was a 12 foot steep stair case to the bathroom. There is a step up bath. I’m 65 not easy! Upon check out I was asked to pay but had already done so. Those precious minutes trying to sort that out made us miss our train. No apology given. It was an expensive 2 nights and not value for money. On the positive side it is very close to the square and a nice gentleman took our suitcases up to our room. I’m sorry but I can’t recommend.

The hotel is gorgeous with an Italian charm. It offers a beautiful terrace to enjoy breakfast or afternoon drink. The staff is great and Charles & Marlou are fantastic hosts. Very close to everything, especially the beautiful Vrijthof and the plaza where we enjoyed the most amazing concert by André Rieu & his orchestra with other fantastic invited musicians and singers. Maastricht, the birthplace of André and the Euro, is a "must visit" city.

We were on the ground floor and the room was quite cold. We reported this in the morning and they gave us a free bottle of wine and said they would look into the heating issue. Very nice place!

Lovely older hotel (translation-no elevator), with a beautiful courtyard where you can have drinks. We had breakfast one day and it was very good European style buffet. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was great. Excellent location adjacent to a square with plenty of dining options.

We booked a jr. suite and found it unbelievably spacious. Windows in the back opened to a pleasant-looking court. It was a comfortable place to stay at, and the people who ran it were as helpful as could be. Price was more than fair, and there were no surprises. We were near good restaurants but far enough away from the din of the town to make this a quiet property.

I particularly liked the fact the property showed quite an attention to detail in the room making sure that we had everything that we needed. The garden in the back is amazing! I also appreciated that although I forgot to mention that we are traveling with a 1-year-old, the staff switched our room so that we have more space.

Small hotel, well-maintained nicely old-fashioned interior, very good size rooms, modern bathrooms, very friendly, helpful and informal staff. To rear across the garden courtyard are more rooms, the garden courtyard itself a beautiful space, fine trees, plants, and pool with fountain, very peaceful and quiet. Location excellent for centre of old town and university.

This hotel is full of character, comfortable and the garden was a lovely oasis in the middle of town. There is also a lounge area if the weather is cold. Charming host and good breakfast. very convenient location.
