This hotel's location is quite strategic, only about a 5-minute walk from Solo Balapan Station. Although you'll have to navigate a fairly narrow sidewalk, it's still manageable. It's recommended to exit through the station gate near the station mosque, as it's a longer walk if you're going to the pedestrian exit. The hotel's facilities are quite adequate for a transit hotel or a hotel that will be used as overnight accommodation (if you're busy all day and want to return to the hotel soon). However, they might be a bit lacking for a longer stay and want a more comfortable stay. Even in the standard room, the room is still very spacious, so you don't need to worry about where to put your things, pray, or other things. The table near the TV is also quite long and spacious, making it easy to unpack. The hotel is quite close to Solo Balapan Station, making it a good transit hotel or a convenient option for accommodation close to the station. However, the area is mostly populated with residential houses and small shops, so reaching Surakarta's tourist attractions requires a bit of walking distance. There are sidewalks along the road, which are somewhat narrow but manageable for relatively easy access. However, there is no dedicated zebra crossing so crossing from the station side to the hotel requires caution as it crosses a fairly busy intersection in front of the hotel.

The hotel is actually strategically located near the station and the city. The food is quite okay, still enjoyable. However, there are quite a lot of drawbacks. 1. The room does not match the photo in the app, I booked a deluxe room but this one was left over from renovations, it seems. 2. The bathroom smells musty and at night it smells really bad. 3. The ceiling and paint are peeling a lot. 4. Most importantly, there is no staff at all to help with luggage, this is the first time I've encountered a hotel like this. 5. The reception staff is also not good at check-out, we were told to wait a long time and were not informed again whether the room had been checked or not? It's like we're terrorists checking the room for so long.

We stayed for one night before carrying on to our next destination. It's a perfect place, less than a 5-minute walk to the train station. Our standard room is decent, with a comfortable mattress, clean sheets, and cotton towels. However, we spotted some dirty parts, especially inside the bathroom (also, the tap of the washtafel is broken). They need to improve the hospitality of the front officers.

It's always a great choice for a last-minute trip to Solo or a stopover, as it's very close to Balapan Station. There's also a 24-hour cafe across the street, and if you're craving a typical Solo breakfast, it's also close to many eateries.

The hotel is close to everywhere, very close to Solo Balapan station. The room is comfortable, the AC is cold, the room is clean. The staff is very friendly. Overall, my 3-night stay at Loji Hotel was very satisfying. Suggestions for Loji Hotel, if possible, wash the sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels can be cleaner because there are still stains left. And for towels, maybe they can be replaced with new ones because the color is dull. Maybe the sheets, pillowcases, towels can also be made more fragrant. Overall is good.

The room and toilet were clean, the hot water worked, the shower pressure was strong, and most importantly, the air conditioning worked perfectly and was very cold. The location is very strategic, about 250 meters from Balapan Station, easily accessible on foot. We highly recommend staying here for those in transit. The proximity to the station means there are many culinary options, cafes, and street food stalls. Check-in and check-out were quick, the service was satisfactory, and the food was quite tasty and had a wide selection, certainly commensurate with the hotel's rating. It's not ideal for a family staycation, as there's no swimming pool, playground, or other child-friendly facilities. It's more suited to transit, business, or solo travelers, but if you're just spending the night with your family, it's perfectly fine.

Clean, complete facilities and affordable for the price and location in the city center, it's a shame that the room's soundproofing is lacking because the upstairs room can be heard playing with chairs being moved around, which is disturbing.
