The room and property were very clean, the hospitality and service teams extremely friendly and accommodating and the surrounding area full of natural beauty.

Excellent hotel

Our room with a lake view was beautiful. The food and drink options at both restaurants were delicious. The spa was wonderfully relaxing. Hanging out by the pool or the lake was the perfect way to spend a few days away from kids and dogs!

Beautiful

It was a beautiful property with excellent food and good service. We felt the cleanliness of the room was excellent, but the patio needed a good wipe down and my clothes got dirty sitting on the patio furniture. We were surprised we were not approached even once while we were at the pool for several hours to see if we needed anything. Overall a good experience, but didn’t live up to my expectations for a relais and chateaux property (compared to others I have stayed at).

Great stay and beautiful property. A bit disappointed that the pool was for adults only and the family pool did not have staff available but nonetheless it was a nice stay.

Manoir Hovey is a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The food is excellent and the spa is beautiful. Our room in the main house was small but extremely comfortable and well appointed. The large furnished deck off the room had exquisite views of the lake and perfectly manicured gardens. There are two restaurant options and both are fabulous. The breakfast is abundant and while they say the buffet is a continental breakfast it has a lot to choose! The spa was my favorite part of the resort. It is so peaceful and the setting is beautiful. I had three treatments during my stay and each one was excellent. Meghan is a gifted therapist with amazing technique and a lovely disposition. All of the staff was helpful and pleasant. Whether you are seeking a quite, elegant getaway or an active outdoor escape, Manoir Hovey is the place to go!

The staff could not do more to make our stay more enjoyable. They were so attentive and accommodating and made a birthday weekend for my daughter so memorable!

No dining room for light breakfast

All aspects of the property and each of the many and varied experiences are a delight to explore.

Pros: Gorgeous property, spectacular attentive staff, and lots to do on the property. From boats, paddle boards/boats, kayaks, board games, tennis, yoga, and other activities, you wont be bored. Love that there are 2 great elegant restaurants onsite, small bar, free great coffee in the lounge areas, and lots of beautiful places to hang out. Love to be able to choose from swimming in the lake, pool, or spa baths. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Cons: While the quality of the restaurant food was great, I didn't feel it was worth the exhuberant price. I loved the cuisine and service but I have also had better food for much cheaper elsewhere in Montreal. Additionally, the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway. Bring earplugs. From the hallway you can also hear everything going on in each of the rooms. Some sound proofing would be nice.

Fantastic service from all the staff re: reception, dinner, breakfast. Beautiful/modern room (re: room 58). Choice of wine at the Tap Room for dinner was very limited e.g. no sauvignon blanc, wine from New Zealand, and overall too expensive for the quality offered. Breakfast: quantity/quality versus price is unacceptable (2 eggs, bacon, potato and beans for $50.00 per person) but good service.
