The breakfast wasnt free but it was lovely and fresh the room was lovely but the bathroom a little bit cold. The staff was really friendly

We stayed a night in December and would highly recommended this hotel. Fantastic location, elegant and comfortable rooms and great food. Also handy just off the M6 but in peaceful rural setting on the edge of the lakes.

We booked the family room. Having the separate rooms was great, however the kids room with the bunk beds was above a generator of some kind which made very loud noises and bangs throughout the night. The room was too hot as well, and we couldn't open the windows due to the loud noise outside. That said, it was very clean and well decorated. Food was great, although the breakfast wait time was to long considering there was only one other party there. Those with kids will understand that long waiting times for food does not lead to a nice experience. Location is useful, however please be aware the hotel is just off a main roundabout / main road. Noise isn't too bad unless you have windows open. The staff were lovely and the food was great.

Location was ideal for our trip - easy to find and large car park. The building looks very impressive externally and the inside was just stunning. The decor and surrounding give the place a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted at reception and made to feel very welcome. The room was outstanding - plenty of room and the bathroom was unbelievable - everything was so clean and comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the evening - first class and excellent portion size - cooked to perfection for both of us. Service was superb and very attentive. Breakfast was lovely too - had the best poached eggs I have ever had and the breakfast set is up for the day around the Lakes. Will definitely return - the best was so comfy and the temperature of the room was just right - slept like a log and fully refreshed the next day. A gem of a hotel and I cannot compliment enough. I would also express my sincerest thanks to the staff and management who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as they could 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stayed as a stop in our journey to Aberdeen. We didn't eat there so can't comment on food but all other aspects of our stay were fine. We would defiantly stay with them again.

The hotel had been redecorated and furniture and decor had been updated. I arrived in close to freezing conditions and found my room on.yhe top floor did not have the heating on. After speaking to the manager the problem was resolved.

Hotel was lovely, well maintained and had a great vibe. Staff were considerate, polite and helpful. Hotels.com had made an error in booking our room but this was sorted out by the hotel so had a great stay. Would recommend

The property is already known for excellent food. This was the first time I had stayed there and I wasn’t disappointed. The room had been recently upgraded and the shower was fantastic with high quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast wasn’t included but I was delighted I paid for it. Quality, hot, delicious breakfast. It’s a good idea to offer two sizes of breakfast, regular and large. I also ate there in the evening and again the food was delicious . All the staff were welcoming and really looked after me. I will be back.

Clean, quiet room with comfy beds. Warm, modern bathroom with great shower. Very friendly, helpful staff & lovely food. Good views but you do need a car to get to it & there are no paths for a walk.

Clean and confortable, very good value including dinner and especially breakfast. Staff welcoming and attentive. A special mention to the person who seemed to be making it all happen, Ionella who's attention to detail and guests was amazing.

we were very happy with the breakfast and evening meal etc the staff were very good, the room was ok except for the winding stairs to the top floor but we managed alright, the only problem with the hotel we found was the lack of a bus service etc you have to get taxi if you want to go into town or drive and find car park, all in all a lovely hotel and staff.
