Facilities: The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool and a small gym. The gym is quite small, so jogging along the beach in the morning may be a better option. The rooftop view is amazing. Room: The room feels a bit outdated, but everything was functional and decent. I personally really liked the strong water pressure in the shower. However, complimentary water or coffee was not provided. Check-in: Check-in may take a while. I waited around 30 minutes. Check-out took less than 3 minutes. Breakfast: Breakfast had a decent variety of options. The omelet is a must-try. There were not many vegetable options, but they did provide a nice selection of fresh fruits. Location: The location is perfect for relaxation and beach access. The mornings feel very energetic, with many people exercising along the coast. The hotel provides beach towels, which makes it convenient to enjoy a quick swim in the ocean.

Stayed there for 7 nights. The hotel is good overall, but not great, and it could definitely benefit from some upgrades. Features like a kettle, a coffee machine and a smart TV are pretty standard nowadays for a 5 stars hotel, so it would be nice to see those included. It would also help to replace the swipe card system for the lockers for tap ones, I had to change my key cards at least five times during my stay. the thick blanket looks like its been there since the 90’s. The hotel also needs better maintenance. My room had graffiti on some of the furniture, the shower head was not working properly, and there was rotten wood around the bathroom door frame also the corridor carpet needs help. On a positive note, the neighbourhood felt very safe, the location right in front of the beach cant be better than that also the rooftop pool is beautiful, all common areas with marble was squeaky clean.

Great location in Barra right in front of the beach. Property is well kept and room was clean. Great shower which I always appreciate. A couple of negatives was that there's no place to get just a coffee before 8am. The buffet breakfast was open but no ala carte option. Room walls were also extremely thin and not soundproof at all. We could hear neighbors speaking through connecting room doors. Had to unfortunately complain one evening when they were up late past midnight one night with loud music playing. Nice rooftop pool but it's on the smaller side, looks bigger in hotel photos. Overall though we liked the hotel and location and would stay there again.

This place is TERRIBLE, looks are deceiving here! The lobby looks clean. The rooms on the other hand are not as clean! We had giant ants, crawling across the bed and the tables and the floor. The bathroom has mold in every crevice! And the air vents are filthy, grubby nasty portholes of infection! My companion got sick from the dirty air! The free breakfast mine as well have been nonexistent! Sure there were a lot of options but nothing there had very much flavor and the service was terrible. When I complained about the ants, they said oh so sorry we can’t do anything about that. We were on the 16th floor. There should not have been a bug infestation! The pool was cold and filthy and very small.

Windsor Marapendi is an overall OK hotel that delivers mainly thanks to its location. It is situated directly on the beachfront in Barra da Tijuca, which is a big plus. The hotel is suitable for both business and leisure stays, but it does not feel luxurious, there are better in area for the same price and stars. The location is excellent if you want to stay in Barra da Tijuca. The hotel is right on the beach, with easy access to seaside walks and ocean views. The neighborhood feels safe and spacious, with shopping malls, restaurants, and cafes reachable by a short drive. There is a 24h across the street bar right on the beach which is a nice getaway. Breakfast is one of the strongest points of the hotel. There is a good variety of options, including fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and local items. The quality is consistently good and the breakfast area is pleasant, making it a solid start to the day. There are many activities nearby, especially related to the beach and outdoor lifestyle. Barra da Tijuca offers long beach walks, jogging and cycling paths, surf spots, and beach bars. Large shopping malls like BarraShopping and VillageMall are close by, as well as good restaurants and cafés. It’s a good area for a relaxed, less crowded Rio experience.
